I remember when J. Cooper and C. Warmack were the saviors we needed for the OL and how we had to take one at 18 because 2 OGs would never go before that. That was followed by rueage with the trade and Frederick pick. Looking back now...
I resemble that remark, not so sure there were many that disagreed at the time. Fred was truly the great pick for us that year, and my trust in the FO jumped immensely.

I thought the injury & weight messed with him. Also as stated, he did WANT to play here, for the BOYS

Why in the hell would they be doing that if Collins is going to be back for the playoffs? Maybe they're just looking to sign him for next year.

Think about that a minute. Do you go car shopping if you have a great car already? :)

He has been a bust so far.

No doubt, but there are plenty of cases of former busts turning things around in the right situation. Hopefully, this team, this scheme, and this environment could help him to do just that.

Is he worth signing to a roster spot in order to keep him for next year? Is he better than Ryan Seymour? I expect he is (not saying much) but if we can fix him, that'd be huge.

It truly would be, be it strictly for quality depth, or to open the possibility of making a concerted effort to actually play La'el Collins at right tackle.

I'd love this move.

Never hurts to take a look at a former first rounder. As Parcells used to say, someone thought highly of the player to select him that high.

Both went before our pick and I was bummed. Then the trade back and I was unsure but I always enjoy extra picks.

Unless he plans on learning to play center as well (assuming he can't already) he'd be a fool to sign here.
