Cowboys working on pretty substantive trades

I think it would be wise to trade some players I keep talking about tolbert and Ferguson. Players with decent value who we can move on from to keep the roster churning so to speak.

Trade em and Try for a 5th or 6th

Try to get 4-5 picks in the top 120. Give mingo Tolberts snaps. Don’t draft a wr early . Focus on other ****
I don’t see their value though… what a 7th?

Tolbert is one player I would keep an eye on.
With what they have invested in Mingo, I can see them wanting to give him every opportunity to win the third or second slot.
In other words it's possible they clean enough Tolbert
I wouldn't necessarily have a problem with that one. But I'd also be fine with him competing with Mingo and Campbell for a role. I don't think any of that group is more than a third receiver at best, and it's hard at this point to say Tolbert may not be better than the other two. The only two receivers who seem to be safely nestled into roles are Lamb and Turpin, and it's hard to say how much Turpin will get used at receiver because of what he provides on special teams.

Maybe they're into Kenneth Walker? Rumored to be on the market. Jameson Williams, same. Ramsey? Can't see it.

Makes sense though, since we have more needs than draft picks. How are you going to fill RB, WR, DE, LB, CB, OG, DT in one draft?
A
Yeah....same.
I like Ferguson. His first two years, I was impressed with him. So he had an off year. So did some of the others including CD Lamb.

To me the Cowboys only have a few tradeable assets:

-TE Jake Ferguson could net a 3rd or 4th round pick at worst. He had a down year due to a knee and concussion, but do the Cowboys believe in Luke Schoonmaker enough to pull the plug on Ferg?
-RT Terence Steele. His contract will make him hard to move but a 5th round pick for him seems realistic. With enough 5s and 6s Dallas could trade back up into the 4th.
-LB Damone Clark: A 6th round pick for him would be a win. A 7th or a fringe roster player is more likely.
-WR Jalen Tolbert: Don't know if they give up on a former 3rd round pick that did score 7 TDs last year, but the Cowboys might draft a WR early and still have hopes for Mingo. Tolbert could also get them back into the 4th round but is more likely fetching a day three pick.

Others: DE Sam Williams, S Donovan WIlson, S Malik Hooker

No team in the NFL wants Tolbert or Ferguson.
I think guys like Ferguson, Damone Clark, and Donovan Wilson are in play.
Nobody wants any of the three. They are all mediocre. What can they bring in a trade, a fifth or sixth? or a seventh?
Let's get real. We do not have any players worth a darn in a trade except Micah, CeeDee, or our kicker or returner. Why would we trade any of those? They are the best we got.
