Cowboys working out 4 players

And now the Jets are parting ways with WR Eric Decker, sources tell ESPN. Have told WR they either will release or trade him this week.

Other than New England, tell me who has a backup QB that's worth a crap.

Miami, Washington, Houston, Chicago, Jacksonville, New York, Philly. All have Back-ups who could win a few games off the top of my head.

What??? No Boise State bashing?

Gonna laugh when he signs and everybodies darling Xavier Woods is history....Heck I'd take both he and Duke Williams over Woods....

But leave it to :espn: to mess up the guys name..

Hey Floaty, what do you think of Kellen Moore as the back up? Should he be starting, off the team, or is that his right spot on the roster?

He's probably good where he is @ for now....And in all honestly....he's really never got a fair shot to show what he can do. That 3 game tryout he had in 2016 was a joke as the team had quit a month earlier. But even then he showed he could move an offense w/ consistancy. He did have 2 mis-reads vs the Jets that was on him. I'm sure the speed of the game probably caught him off guard...since he basically sat on the bench all year. You just can't duplicate live speed in practice. Especially in Dallas ...where the statues quo is 3/4 speed and avoid injury. I still think he is so under-rated. Sure he doesn't have the physical measurables....but you can't measure heart...and knowledge...able to handle pressure. If it wasn't for the freak injury...he may very well be the starting QB now. There wasn't anything Prescott did last year..that Kellen couldn't do...

Thanks for the reply, Floaty. :)

Add Bengals to that list.

@erod, you're vastly undervaluing the backup QB position. Moore is not the answer.
I'm OK with Moore for this season.

I would consider a mid round pick on a QB next year, however.

I really don't trust Moore in a high leverage, one or two game stretch, but hopefully we never find out, X.

I would like to see us use one of those fourths on a QB if there's one there, or just snag one up early in FA in the $4-6 mil AAV range (2-3 years).

With Dak and the way this org is headed, it's high time we get a decent, mainstay backup that we know can at least drive the bus if **** hits the fan and Dak goes down for a game or two.
