Jefferson is ahead of Amendola on the depth chart so what are you saying ?

ORLY?

Sure doesn't look like it to me.

Once again, there is no official depth chart yet as far as most are concerned.

You're probably going off of Jefferson seeing time earlier in the preseason game last week, but that is a poor indication as they don't even play the same position. They are also likely trying to get Amendola in situations where he can play the slot rather than outside in a 2WR set...unlike Jefferson. Jefferson had as many mistakes in the last preseason game as Amendola has in all three...albeit not as crucial.

Let it play out before declaring yourself victorious, or whatever it is you're trying to do.

Austin and Stanbach are out. He is better than Amendola/Jefferson.

I'm not sold on Horn being better than them. He got cut by the Falcons they WR corp surely is better than ours... Oh wait.

Well in practice Jefferson was getting 2nd team reps while Amendola was getting 3rd teams reps. When Stanback didn't come back the next WR to come in the game was Jefferson not Amendola.
So with that in mind I made an assumption claiming Jefferson was ahead of AMendola on the depth chart.

since you are having trouble I will spell it out for you, no where in the great expanse of the universe would Joe Horn consider a 4th string job. And since you seem to really be having issues, you don't drop young guys for a 60 year old 4th stringer even if he would take the job, which he wouldn't take the job as a 4th stringer.

eagerly awaiting some random post about whether I think joe horn is better than so and so even though it is completely irrelevant

Because we are a contender, and no one else is beating a trail to get to him.

Who cares how young a guy is if he sucks?

For the record I dont think were going to sign him, sounds like it was barely considered. Im just saying I would.

you don't give up on potential for a 4th wr that will see what? maybe 5 snaps a game if we're lucky? he isn't gonna play special teams so a young guy is preferred whether horn is a better pass catcher or not.

I think horn is just a shade less than crayton just so you know I get where you are coming from but its just not prudent for him to be a part of this team.

Who are we talking about here? Amendola brings little to ST's. and has little potential. Jefferson and Lowber maybe.

Im just tired of Amendola being turned into a hero because hes smaller than all of us

Horn is stale toast and doesn't know the offense. Not defending Rudy, but if another team isn't interested in him, why should Dallas be?

Its the coaches and other players that inspired the danny love, I tend to defer to them on most everything.

I am pretty indifferent to danny to be honest, I just don't care enough about the situation to go one way or the other. IF the kid makes the cut I suspect the coaches had their reasons.

Ummm...last time I checked, he brings FAR more on ST's than either Jefferson or Lowber. Unfortunately for him (fortunately for the cowboys), he's not the best returner on the team.

You're tired of what? Whining? That's what you sound like.

People thinking he might make the team, or become the 6th WR does not equate to him being a 'hero'. You and your anti-Danny crowd are the ones that have created that garbage. Not one of his supporters has claimed as much. Find one, I'll wait.

They could be nasty gunners, which we lack. We have plenty of punt returners

When people claim he can be Wes Welker, thats where they lost me

Whats with fellow Cowboys fans getting *****y? Did Horn steal your purse and Lil Buddy got it back? Or you cant wait for the season

I think Stanback goes on at least PUP to start season, possibly IR later.

Our WR's until a decison is made are:

1. Owens
2. Crayton
3. Hurd
4. Austin
5. Amendola
6. Jefferson or free agent

If Stanback not on PUP or IR, Jefferson odd man out, possible practice squad.

Todd Lowber to practice squad unless someone like Bears take a chance.

Thoughts?

Todd lowber is a freak man, from the little I've seen of him, the guy has sick skills. We need to really take a look hard at him and give him a chance. I even think he should take jefferson or amendola's spot that you have on ur list.

No I'd just rather not bring players past their prime to take reps away from young guys.

Well that's not speculative or anything....

Again, I doubt anyone actually ever claimed that.

Cute.

What's with fans hating on Cowboy players?

...last time I checked, I was a fan of the team, not of other fans.

Not even close. Although I'd like to see him stick to the PS.

He asked to be released

And look at all the teams that flocked to his door, contract in hand...

Guess it hasn't occurred to you that Horn has gotten old, and doesn't have much game left... but hey, he's a NAME, right??
