He's a white receiver out of Texas - that is the craze and Rudi like hope for him.

But with Pac/Crayton he is 3rd string PR and we don't need him at #6 WR - He has no role on this roster and never really did.

Every year is the feel good longshot story. Hard knocks all over this one

Since being white has to do with the craze, does his being white have anything to with the hate?

Stanback needs to be on the 53 man roster this year. It's not so much that we're desperate for him, but another year lost to injury could very well be the end of him as a Cowboy.

He won't get better or make the transition to WR from the IR. This guy needs to be practicing with the team every week...period.

JMO

I'll also repeat my opinion on Amendola one more time. He has absolutely "0" chance of making the final 53 man roster...he'll be cut and signed to the practice squad. There won't be a team in the league ready to give one of their 53 spots to him based on his preseason. He's a safe bet on the practice squad. That gives us a year to check him out.

he is a perceived forum darling and that is the only reason you like to talk trash about him, even if the rudy love were real, what you are doing is far more foolish.

Absolutely "0"? Meaning none at all? No way it can happen?

Who do you keep ahead of him? Lowber, Jefferson? From what I have seen, both on the field, in the media and Hard Knocks, he has a good chance to make the team. Unless TO and Romo were lying to the camera.

Lowber doesn't know a thing about football. Great skills, absolutely "0" experience. He was brought in as a favor to Ol' Man Garrett. Maybe if he makes the PS, he might stick around, but what has he shown? One catch?

Jefferson? Made a couple catches, but also clanked a few. The lack of effort on his part on the Johnson deep throw kind of disappointed me.

Stanback, everyone's superstar in training is looking more and more like a failed experiment. Two years, two shoulder injuries. He hasn't shown to be better than Austin on returns and his pass catching skills are still suspect. Add in that he will try to play this year in a shoulder harness will hurt him more than help him. I doubt he will see the field.

I really want to know what drives the Amendola hate. It just seems unreasonable. We have plenty of UDFA's playing on this team, guys that made it on desire and work. One can even say moxie. Amendola shows those traits. Is it just to unbearable for you to see him make the squad?

What a joke. How do you know have you watched him during training camps? Or are you reading training camp reports? So far what has he done in the preseason games that make him impressive? At this point i think Jefferson is ahead of him. I really don't see were this Amendola love comes from. He hasn't done anything to make him impress me.

Listening to Cowboys radio, they reported Jason Garrett saying Todd Lowber was the best athlete he has seen in 42 years.

Might just be coachspeak, but still interesting.

I listened again and they didn't specify.

They probably were talking about Papa.

They were discussing whether or not another team with room to develop a receiver might not go after Lowber when/if we release him.

He's a big, fast wideout in need of development much like Isaiah Stanback.

Isaiah has been snake bit with injuries since coming to Big D, no doubt.

He claims to have had no injury issues prior to his foot in college.

He's now close to becoming one of the masses whose career ended almost before it began.

Sucks.

You denying your obvious disdain for anything Danny is the only joke here.

What do you want to hear? Romo and To saying they like him, and they think he's going to make the team? Tank Johnson calling him his favorite rookie, and the hardest working one at that? The coaches discussing how he goes hard on every play and every route? Every person that has actually been around him likes him, and its not unreasonable when these reports come out for fans who haven't to follow suit.

What you won't hear is his supporters calling him a 'hero' or 'a guarantee to make the roster'. That's something your fellow detractors have created to attempt to weakly bolster your opinion.

Me? I'm taking Wade's, Romo's, TO's, hordes of media types whom have seen him play....over Wayne Motley's or Real1st's. Maybe he makes it, maybe he doesn't...but either way, your perceptions are wrong.

So it seems the board has the following take on the WR position...

Making the grade - Owens, Crayton, Austin, Hurd
Questionable - Amendola
Cut or Practice Squad - Bradford, Jefferson, Lowber

* Stanback - likely surgery and placed on IR

I think Jefferson has a good shot at the roster along with Amendola. Whether or not either one actually does, remains to be seen.

There has been so little said about Bradford that its hard to imagine him making the grade, but stranger things have happened.

Lowber, IMO, is a primary candidate for the practice squad. Unless the Cowboys think the Bears are waiting to jump on him.

Makes perfect sense to me. No way does Stanback go on IR.

We only keep 5 WR's....the 5 usual suspects.

It really doesn't matter as long as T.O. and Witten are healthy. Pac Man could play receiver and we'd still move the ball downfield.
