thus football being a team sport. Of all the major US sports, it is the most team oriented in practice.

In the games where the offence was poor the OL and running game struggled too. There were plenty of games where the defense gave up points. Nevermind they were terrible in the field position game, in getting turnovers, and in the kicking game.

Yes Dak had some bad games. He got skunked by New England for example. Detractors like to hand wave at the Philly game but ignore the injury to his throwing shoulder. Even then all QBs have bad games. That is true for Rodgers, Wilson, Brees, Mahomes, and all th rest as well. Biasing out most results and wandwaving at your preffered outcome is not valid analysis.

As for stats, what I wrote was precise. When a RB back has runs of 5, 6, 5, 7, 10, -2 and it is said he had 31 yards on 6 carries thus numbers are based completely on real events. Same holds true with throws, catches, and their respective efficiency stats.

Further stats are the best predictors of future events. Given Dak's age there is every reason to believe he will improve on last years numbers.

Team W-L records are not predictive of much of anything. It's just good for determining playoff seeding, the following years schedule, draft order, and trying to find someone to blame about something upsetting.
Okay. Lets try this. Say you and me went to a Cowboys football game. Without looking at any stats, would you be able to tell me if Dak had a good or bad game just by watching the game?

what does "no actual pedigree" mean?

Nothing about the guy that actually establishes his sports opinion as necessarily worthy of a higher respect than any random other person's. Any of us are conceivably able to conjure up opinions that are just as, if not more rational and on-point than his.

Or at least, that's how I mean it. :)

And by the way... on this topic, I could have done without the first 5 minutes of Cowherd's conjecturing, and skip to some actual substance once Slater showed up.

Accuracy is accuracy it can't be faked.

Your post totally rips Dak apart

the post doesn't rip it apart, if an idiot can't read it and understand his accuracy in fine when it needs to be, then keep being illiterate

Ten minutes of a rant? Hmmm. Just not that interested in what someone with no actual pedigree that I should care what they think thinks. At least he's not a screamer like that SASmith guy, I'll grant that.
It's more like 5 minutes. The rest is Slater ducktales.

Garrett and Carr have both made a living throwing a football too, and there is a lot more to success as a QB in the NFL than a friendly game in a non-fooball setting.

you just sound pathetic. You think Dak liked being embarrassed by Carr if front of the whole country so he didn’t try ? The only difference here is he couldn’t hide his deficiencies by handing off to Zeke.

If I was truly trying to analyze the game I would count his throws, completions, yards, time in the pocket, and the like. It is part of a comprehensive analysis. I would also look at his progressions, ball placement, footwork, throwing motion, and the like.

Dak is not perfect. He has bad games. He makes stupid reads like in the Jets game. He makes bad throws like he did in the Philly game. However, we have a faction here that is intent on only looking at those flaws and ignoring the rest.

Accuracy for a QB? Well, Dak proved that over David Carr by a long shot. But laughing and horsing around in street clothes is really a better measure than actually playing QB, in pads, on the field, with pass rushers bearing down, right?
Dak for sure had games where he dropped dimes up and down the field like against Minnesota. The problem is he doesn’t do that consistently. Especially against the better teams. It is not unusual for him to get shut out of the end-zone! You will argue for sure but to deny that is pure emotion driving your opinion on his demands being paid #1 QB money.

I respect this post. I think what gets lost is there are very few here who doesn’t want Dak to be the Cowboys QB for the next 10 seasons. The sticking point to most of us are his demands doesn’t match what he had produced and Jerry has offered more than I am comfortable with and it’s still not good enough.

...So McCarthy didn't reach out to Dak eh?...well maybe if Dak would have been at camp he would have....What were they supposed to do anyway, trade spit in the shower!?..For now, "Andy is a b/u QB, and Dak is the starter...if JJ and Dak and his freaking agent can't right this ship or Dak sits...whatever, at least the team will have a fighting chance on the field...and by the way Cowherd has hated on Dallas for years, I quit listening to his disdain along time ago!...Play ball- Onward thru the fog!!!...
