I don't think he is far off I think theebs was pretty much on target they will struggle to make the playoffs until you see them put two winning seasons together or two playoff season together you don't know if they can I think they will miss the playoffs but that's just me

Dallas also seemingly can not put two good seasons in a row together under this staff. It seems only after misery do the players openly speak about being dedicated and proving a point. Probably just nonsense because I have heard witten, newman, Murray and others speak so highly of garrett's speeches and motivating tools via competition etc......But they have not been able to put it together in back to back seasons yet so I think it is perfectly acceptable to say Dallas is a fringe playoff team.

Part of that is the team being so Romo dependent and him getting injured but if Dak goes down we are once again stuck with absolutely nothing behind our starter.


Whatever though. We've been processing long enough. I agree that we are a fringe team because we aren't fortunate enough to play in the AFC East like New England but the time for excuses is over and we need to start seeing results.


Also, I don't want to hear about young DB's as an excuse for Jason. That is the route they all chose.

Half our defense are rookies, and Garrett has NEVER had back-to-back winning seasons. I say 8-8, and you'll love it!

I tend to agree. A buddy and me were talking about this just the other day and I said 9-7.

You have to realize. We are playing a much harder schedule and we lost 4 contributors from our secondary, plus two starting offensive linemen. I like what we did in the draft but counting on rookies doesn't work out great all the time. I think we can still make the playoffs. But it's ok to temper expectations.

Anybody that compares Dak's rookie season and how he actually *played* to RG3's season and then tries to draw a comparison for Dak's future doesn't know anything about football. Literally zero.

RG3 had terrible mechanics, couldn't see over the linemen to throw the ball and came from a gimmicky college/high school based offense. He was noticeably shorter and skinnier, particularly in the lower body than Dak.

Dak's throwing motion mechanics are excellent with some footwork that was inconsistent. His ability to locate the ball on passes was downright phenomenal. He came from a pro style system that is very similar to what Dallas runs and the offense Dallas runs has been in the NFL is some fashion since the 1960's.

It would be like comparing Ken Stabler to Mike Vick because they are both left handers.

yep.

I was crazy to think we would struggle with a rookie qb and a bad defense. I don't even remember what I thought about them before the injury, I think 10-6 or 9-7. Last year was the first time since 1994 they made the playoffs when playing the nfc north/central.

and I have never listened to cowherd in my life. Its odd I have to say how you remember I thought we would struggle till romo got back but not what I thought with romo.

I ate some fine tasty crow last season, ACF. I had us at 6-10 when Romo went down. Some damn tasty crow.

I won't bet against this squad again. All these 9-7, 8-8 predictions are laughable, as are the posters posting them, more or less, my brudda.
