I agree. Whenever I hear stories like this about what goes on in an NFL locker room, I can't ever believe it. The Dallas stuff goes without saying. The sort of dysfunction that would have to go on to run a team's offense and defense completely separately, I can't even comprehend.

The same stuff sounds to be going on in SF's locker room these days. Key players not getting along with the head coach, spats between the HC and the GM. For a billion-dollar organization that's dependent on camaraderie and teamwork, that boggles my mind.

Maybe it's just the media having more access, etc. and not as truly indicative of dysfunction as we feel is portrayed as fans. I've wondered the same thing in terms of how could that prove successful outside of flat out being just more talented than the opponent, etc.

2 sour pussies, whining about sour grapes, who cares, if Garrett sabotaged Wade, Wade is an average HC, but a very good DC, he needed to get fired , heck he should not have ever been hired as the HC.

If/When a Head Coach in the NFL has baggage or is disingenuous the entire Locker Room knows before anyone and the Players can't help to respond accordingly without manufacture...especially in the Big Time moments which is our M.O..

Please someone, go explain this altruistic fact of basic human behavior to Jerry Jones and Co. period

How many games did the D hold teams to 14 17 or 20 points only to have the O not be able to score over 13? After those loses Wade always took the podium and took all the heat while Garrett slid out the back.

Not many OC's do press conferences.

Wade was a terrible head coach? And he wasn't a very good DC during his time in Dallas. No one sabotaged or undermined him. Wade should have never been hired in the first place.

There is no reason to believe Crayton. He is either lying or doesn't fully understand the NFL or probably both.

We had atrocious offensive lines in those years.

I'd say JJ had just as big a hand in this sabotage/undermining as JG did. JG didn't respect Wade bc he had no reason to. He knew he was next in line and gave him little incentive to succeed with that "protection" in consideration. Doesn't' have to mean he actively sabotaged Wade, he just went into "poor worker: do as much as required but with little effort as possible" mode. What is making him want his HC (superior 'cough') succeed? Terrible management.

That said, this probably isn't all that shocking coming from two players who were released under Garrett.
That would be incorrect, at least in the case of Crayton, who was not released, he was traded, and it wasn't under Garrett, it was under Wade.

Pure speculation on your part.

I stand corrected. One player who was released under Garrett, another who worked for him and was traded and has since demonstrated a lack of fondness for his old coach.

None of this is new..

It was already reported that Wade only controlled the defense and didn't participate in the offense.

It was already known the Cowboys changed the game plan when Garrett came on board.

It was already known that Wade wanted to bring in Dan Reeves to oversee the offense, which was squashed.

Defensive backs were saying they knew what Garrett was calling.

The problem is, the argument that the playbook changed the outcome is BS. It was because the defense went on a turnover tear. Dallas also played more conservative with a lot of two tight end packages to run.

The problem is, even if he did change the playbook, it still sucked .

The reality is, Jason sucks. The problems he was having back then are still the same now . Play-action, he is horrible at. He can't blend a running game with passing game and he has no feel for the game.

Gurode, Davis, and Adams were Pro Bowlers in 2007.

But were they good after that season? Davis went down fast after 2007. It was really his only good year. The right tackle position was always unsettled. I know Colombo seemed to be a fan favorite, but he wasn't that good. I do think Adams was solid and got somewhat of a bad rap at times. Gurode was okay.
