One thing I do like about Crayton besides his catching, is his ability to break tackles and squirm for extra yards. I love what Rector and Hurd has done, but Crayton can be a very valuable asset to us this year.

The good thing is, we can run different guys out there a the 3rd spot and make for a great change up situation.

You have to include TO in there somewhere. He's the head renegade, that's what makes it so appealing.

TO and the Renegades.

Or TO, Terry and the Renegades.

How bout TNT and the Renegades?

Ridiculous.

A) Regarding Crayton 'disappearing in the season.' Last year was his first season he started active - he didn't disappear - he was injured and remained that way the rest of the year. High ankle sprain. It happens. Before the injury, he was lighting it up for a 3rd guy.

B) Someone asked if Crayton has done it against 1st team competition. Well, before the injury, he was doing VERY well against them. See the Oakland game, where he made a fantastic play.

I can't possibly see how Crayton is 'overrated'. Even before he got injured this preseason he was playing very well. He is in NO doghouse. Parcells made the comment simply because Crayton isn't a master punt returner. He may still have some holdover from the injury - but I find it HARD to believe he has gone from being a good Parcells player to in his doghouse.

Quit knee jerking because of small comments, people.

That is fun. Run Rector out there for that stop route all year long. :D Completely indefensible, if the throw is proper.

BTW - TO, Terry and the Renegades is awesome. Nicknames that sound like band names get two huge thumbs up from me. :)

I know. I've seen him do it in the season. The guy is a nice player, and I'm not doling out "doghouse" labels just yet. All I was saying is in the preseason, Rector's been going up against #1's. I've never seen Crayton do to opposing #1 defenses what Rector has consistently been doing all preseason to them. I'm not saying it hasn't happened - I just can't remember it happening. I hope he plays here forever. But I am very encouraged by these young undrafted players.

Well, he's practicing and he has been for awhile now and he still may be inactive.

Interpet that how you like.

Crayton's been hurt twice, maybe Parcels see's signs of alligator arms, avoiding going over the middle...........

the crack about fair catch would fit into that line of thought

He's been practicing for a week. And Parcells' comments were in reference to the game.

He's got another week to go. Talk to me again on Friday.

Did not block well.
yeah I seen one play where he gave a lame attempt at blocking and if he tried a little harder it could have been a big gain. Hope it works out I like him as a player

I gotta listen to this presser to see if it was really a "crack" or not.

Look - I might be overprotective of Crayton, simply because I tagged him as a talent in his first training camp.

Hopefully it isn't as ridiculous as certain posters' obsession with 'The Shanle.'

That being said, my opinion is that if he weren't a Cowboy, there are rosters where he would be a starter and do a decent job.

That's perfect.

Great T-shirt possibilities!

I can see TO and Terry pushing TNT plungers on the front, with the UDFA WRs coming out of the blast on the back of the shirt :)

The comment from Bill about "not liking some things" or whatever the exact quote was makes me wonder just what those things were. Routs, blocking, STs ?????

Oh, I think he'll play too.

But the more I think about, Parcells usually makes cracks for a reason, and there were a few there.

Like I said, I think Parcells is trying to light a fire. Maybe he sees a guy that worked his rear off to get where he's at, one of his guys, and now with the injuries, and a few said he didn't block well, maybe Parcells thinks he's content and coasting a little bit. Trying to get him back on track.

And as far as his talent level, I think he can be good number two. I'm not Crayton hater! But I had a feeling this thread would turn into this when a few said he wasn't any good.
