There has been a lot over the years. But the thing most forget is every team does that not just the Cowboys.

Every team in the league is kicking themselves for passing on Tom Brady several times.

Specifically for the Cowboys, it's hard to believe that passing on Randy Moss isn't #1 on the list.

Remember, the Eagles traded with us to move UP, and we ended up taking Parsons. Basically, we got Parsons *and* a pick. In any redo of his draft year, he's probably the #1 overall pick. Again, all teams can look back in retrospect and point to draft picks they SHOULD have made.

Trysten Hill was dead in the water the moment you took him. Still have no idea why he was viewed a superior prospect with all his baggage than the guys who went immediately after him: Taylor Rapp, Juan Thornhill, DK Metcalf, Diontae Johnson… Dre’Mont Jones and Kalen Saunders we the next 2 DTs off the board and started a combined 33 games last season.

I’ve questioned Cowboys picks before (what was even the point of Schoonmaker? You don’t take a 25 yo, injured, blocking specialist with a second round pick)… but I’ve never outright claimed a dude is a bust waiting to happen. Hill was an easy call

I can’t get upset over the picks we didn’t make knowing we could’ve had Lynch over Dak or Jeudy or Ruggs over Lamb. We’ve been rather fortunate.

None. The draft is basically a sports science crapshoot. If you get invested in it you need to accept there’s going to be misses. Otherwise you’re left angry about something you had no control in years after the fact. Better to be happy this teams seems to be better, if not much better than many in recent years. For instance, take the 2020 draft when we picked Lamb… the Raiders made 2 1st round picks (one a WR). Neither made it more than 2 years in the league!

IT is just amazing how many of our second round picks bust. It has been claimed most of them were Jethro picks. Not sure how much truth to that there is but I have heard a fair amount.
