Blimey! Some here are despising players based on productivity, other players for their behavior.
There is a mile of difference between, say, a well-meaning Heath and a heinous Hardy.

There is no comparison when we're talking about peak Dez vs peak Carter. CC can only dream of having the talent and athleticism Dez has. And what's scary is that I don't think we've seen Dez's best season. I have a feeling Dez is gonna explode this next season after having an offseason to prepare with Dak and of course to get and stay healthy.

That and he's healthy! Which last season he obviously wasn't and part of this season he wasn't. He looks like a guy who has put 2 pretty serious injuries behind him and is finding his groove and earning the trust of his QB.

I saw the video where Carter called out Dez and then the one where he responds to Dez calling him a puppet.

Chris Carter is not saying anything out of line. In fact what did he say that hasn't been discussed here?

Dez doesn't run great routes a blind person can see that. The guy is flat out average in that department. CC just expected a lot more by now. I think he's getting his swagger back and he'll be fine moving forward. I just leave it at that.

I think the difference is CC goes on TV and pushes this all the while being nice to Dez to his face. For a kid like Dez who grew up with garbage for a family he's always looking for people's approval. So he takes things like this personal. I don't think people quite understand that. Does CC make legit points? Sure does, but he goes about it and talks about it and comes off like Dez is a garbage overrated player. Maybe that's not CC's intent but there is no doubt that Dez could take it that way.

BTW, some of his criticisms of Bryant are legitimite. Bryant is not a elite receiver. He is not in the Julio Jones, Antonio Bryant class. He is just paid like one.

He seemed to be elite when another QB was throwing him the rock.

You gotta blame the scheme because we have evidence of other WR's at the top of their game like TO and Miles disappearing.

Also, TO wasn't the best route runner.. He was a guy that was a great at catching and running with the football. Jason didn't make that adjustment for him.

Dez, like TO, is a great player with the ball in his hands, and like TO, we do absolutely nothing to just get the ball in his hands at times. We're lucky if we give him a catch and run situation 1 time in a game.


We should be doing something like this 5 times a game.

This is what Pittsburgh does with Antonio Brown, he catches a minum of 5 screens a game.
