Dez got 5 targets and 6 touches. He turned those scant opportunities into 70 yards receiving and 3 total touchdowns. And he is playing with a rookie. Did Deandre Hopkins suddenly lose all his skills? What about Demaryius Thomas and Emmanual Sanders? Can Allen Robinson no longer catch a football?

And of course there is the mother of all examples in Randy Moss in his last season in Oakland and his first in New England.

All of those guys are negatively impacted by scheme, qb play or both. The most Targets Dez has got was 14 on Halloween. Most of those were uncatachable. Guys like Julian Edelman have eclipsed that number twice. Julian has 50 more targets this year. FIFTY.

There isn't a receiver in the league who would have big numbers this year playing in our offense especially as we kept what Dak did very limited to start the year.

Also, Bryant had good games against Norman and Rhodes.

CC has humongous eyebrows.

BTW, some of his criticisms of Bryant are legitimite. Bryant is not a elite receiver. He is not in the Julio Jones, Antonio Bryant class. He is just paid like one.

Yeah, the facts didn't come from a good place, and they had plenty of negativity and bias to them, but they weren't untrue.

These are people who know that saying anything about the Cowboys - positively or negatively - increases interest and ratings. And they milk that for all that it's worth, both collectively and individually. This entire 'Undisputed' show has relied on interest in the Cowboys to carry it.

Dez's route running is a legit criticism(though he's gotten bettter), but they started getting all in their feeling about Dez and completely lost it. A run first team is not going to have a 1500 18td receiver, and it's not because they can't throw it.

Some of his criticism was fair I think. I thought it was an interesting stat when he said out of receivers targeted more than 90 times Dez had the worst catch percentage at something around 50% which is horrible tbh

Some is fair but they take parts that are fair and introduce a bunch of BS that fits their agenda with it.

Dallas throws the football 10% less than any other team and we have a QB that is more comfortable throwing to TE's and Slot guys on a regular basis than he is throwing passes down the sideline to the WR's.

There are many who won't like what I just posted, but I'm just trying to keep it real.

Bryant is very good. But he is not an elite class receiver.

Agreed. He had a great game Monday night, but nobody can say that this has been a great season for him individually. I hope it continues and he gets even better, if that happens, everybody wins.

CC is a moron and it's only a matter of time before he gets fired for saying something moronic again.

Dez is a glorified possession receiver, he's not an elite receiver and there is nothing that Chris Carter stated that wasn't true about Dez!

Nothing against Dez but I think the Dallas offense is a lot more dynamic and consistent when they distribute the football to many receivers/tightend/backs instead of trying to force it to Dez 14 times a game...

Again... They are ranting about his stats.

We don't have Tony Romo throwing 42 passes a game to boost his stats.

We barely target the guy.

And yet that mentioned that he's been targeted "90 times". That's significant, as is having the worst numbers of those getting that many targets.

While I do agree with alot you said, Dez's biggest problem has always been consistency. Thats why its hard for the QB to know where he is on the field. It was true especially when he was young, and although he is a lil better about it now, its still an issue that hasn't totally gone away.

Your talking about the offensive system and such, they are talking about Dez, the individual, and his craft of doing the little things it takes to be great.

Put an Elite class WR in his place.

If you run the ball and have a QB that doesn't like throwing out wide a lot then any WR in this league is not going to have gigantic numbers.
Dak doesn't like throwing the ball into danger. Combine that with Dez's inability to gain separation and the results are that his targets are way down compared to when Romo ran the offense.

If you were to put Julio Jones or an AJ Green in this offense, their numbers would be better than Bryants. Would they be as good as their numbers on their current teams? Certainly not. Because they would not be featured in Dallas. However the passing game would be better if Jones were here.

Again, I'm not complaining. The offense is running fine. And Bryant is fine. But he isn't what I would call elite.

thought I'd give this BS a shot since I swerve it 99% of the time, caught 5 seconds of Shannon Sharpe's nerve grinding voice, and turned it off

served as a nice reminder of why I don't watch that ****

70 yards is not a great game, however 4 receptions for 70 yards and 2 TDs is very productive on a run first team.

I don't care who the TDs came against, that is what you are suppose to do, take advantage of the mismatches.

Yep.

That show and First Take are the National Enquirer of journalism. You can't take them seriously. But every once in a while there is a nugget of truth in an avalanche of useless rhetoric.

He's elite at scoring TD's. When healthy he's usually better than everyone and he has gotten off to one of the best starts in NFL history at scoring TD's.

Jason Garrett offenses have always had guys like TO, Miles, and now Dez disappear for periods of time. Our offensive philosophy is to let the defense dictate what we do.

So if you want to say AJ, or Julio is better then that is fine. Both guys are just as injury prone if not more. IMO there isn't a real difference with any of them but I will say Dez Bryant has been unconsciously good at times in an offense that doesn't go out of it's way to get him the football like their offenses do.

Yeah one thing they did leave out though, Dak is a rookie, and especially in the beginning.....alot of those passes to Dez were total misses.

They are getting in better sync now, but Dak missed that endzone fade route for like half the season to Dez.
