I had this feeling that the stadium would be rocking with the start of the regular season, NFC opponent of the Giants.
Return of Tony Romo, Dez, Zekes' debut for real, the OL pounding the GMen into the turf.

But now with Dak at QB, will the crowd be more up and more noise, or will some be like, dang, no Tony, and not be as loud.

Yes I know this will get the normal responses of our home field and all that crap. Save it.
There is some new excitement going on here.

Its the Giants. The crowd is always great for Giants games.

Because there are so many Giants fans there. And it was the same way at TS. There are a lot of transplanted New Yawkers in the Metroplex.

The Dallas home crowd is more "give me something to cheer about" than taking on the role of energy for the team. There is no home crowd easier to shut up with a score than ours. And the announcers have been mentioning that for many years.

Too many want their horse out in front, then they'll cheer it on.

3 o'clock game, don't count on it. The triplets could return and the fans would still be trying to close deals and eat quail nachos!!

This is false narrative that continues to have legs for some reason. It actually gets very loud in the stadium, and most of the Cowboys fans there are not the wine and cheese crowd. In fact, it can get a little shady at times, and there can be a lot of trash-talking and fights in the parking lots, even among Cowboys fans alone.

Some games have a lot of opposing fans because (1) it's early in the season when hopes are high and people can plan trips well in advance, (2) it's a team that doesn't come here very often but has a big fan base, or (3) the Cowboys are bad that year and everybody is dumping tickets.

It's not false. Especially for the early games. It's like people don't know when to cheer or something. When I've gone I feel like I am annoying the people around me when I cheer! Now the night games are different.

Quail nachos, lol. Idk, 3 is better than noon. I think half the fans are still nursing hangovers at the noon games, when they bother to find their seats

what are you going on about? There are hardly any giants fans in the stands at the stadium. The Giants games are always great at the stadium.

Have you ever been to a game? Your entire post sounds like something somebody told you who didn't even know in the first place and you are repeating it.

It is false, the only games that have that feel are the noon games. Dallas doesn't play many noon games and when we do the crowds are generally late arriving and have to be worked up. The 3:15 games have been fine and the night games are always great.

People have taken this stuff way to far and usually its people who couldn't find the stadium on a map of Arlington.

When the team is 3-6, it's true that Cowboys fans sit quietly in disgust. And yes, when they're 8-1 after a Super Bowl, they're a bit quiet, too, in their spoiled way. But generally, if the team is reasonably good, the Cowboy fans are up to the task.

Most all stadiums are experiencing a LOT of opposing fans these days because (1) tickets are so expensive that people offset cost by selling a few games for profit, (2) fantasy football has created fans of teams that aren't geographically logical, and (3) much of America loves to trash talk and act like an ***, and where is it better than in an opposing stadium.

A lot of folks in Texas go to church; hence, the late arrivals.

Such isn't an issue in California or New York.

A giant fan born and raised in New York but lives here in DC told me he likes watching the Cowboys/Giants in Dallas more than he likes it in New York. The game is boring in New York but it's fun in Dallas.

On TV the crowd seems somewhat silent compared to other teams.
Yes and that's what a judge by and the fact the owner has openly asked fans to be more supportive. I haven't been to a game since 88 but in the 70's and 80's when I was going, it was too many of the "see and be seen" crowd.

The most raucous, other than playoffs, crowd was during the strike. Most of the people around us were selling or giving their tickets away except the couple in front of us. These two guys sat in front of them and in the Q2, we scored and the round guy in front of her took off his jersey and had a big blue star front and back on his body. She got an usher and tried to make him make the guy put his shirt back on. We were cracking up as the usher asked the guy to put his shirt back on and he refused and there was nothing the guy could do and she was getting pissed at the usher.

Once again your equating things that don't add up. Plenty of people go to Church in California and New York.

They do, football lovers in NYC/NJ/Philly area usually go to church on Saturday nights.

Actually it's hard to tell from most games while watching on TV. People will hear what they want to hear and see what they want to see. Mostly because they have a preconceived thought as to their complaining rants when it is time.
The crowds are loud the majority of the times. And yes, there are those fans that just sit.

For those at the games and say they aren't loud, from what perspective are you sitting.
This stadium was designed for the noise to filter down onto the field. There fore the higher up you sit, the quieter it will be. Or that is my understanding anyway.

Also the sound feed from different broadcasts will give a different impression of the crowd noise.
