LOL

Seriously, I don't even know how some of you come to your conclusions at times. "Dak's game" is very similar to a QB that has been to the playoffs the past 5 years, Super Bowl twice, winning one. It translates and it was on show yesterday.

You're implying he's Russell Wilson & Cam Newton? Not even close.

Dak was impressive last night. It's still preseason though....

Dak has played great and has a ton of potential but I do worry about him learning under our coaching staff. Our staff has proven that they can't develop QB's. Before anyone points it out, no I do not give the staff any credit for Dak's performance thus far as I think he is getting by on his on natural talent. Hopefully his own natural talent will be enough as it was for Romo(although Romo did have Sean Payton early in his career). I have high hopes for the kid but hope our staff doesn't ruin him.

Promising and worthy of optimism. WAY too early to declare. No poll response and I'll wait.

At what draft slot was brady selected?

Can Dak be the future. Yes, he can in the sense that Brady could.

Who the Hell knows at this point?

Well that is the real answer.

Just remember Nick Foles threw 27-2 in 2013. Only 3 years later and he's a backup

Of course it can happen but Foles has glaring problems that aren't going to get better. Most of Dak's issues are improveable

That's true but even the way Foles played compared to the way Dak handles himself is like night and day. I know it's pre-season and there's a long way to go but I'll take where he is right now.

I wanted a different angle on it. I wanted to see what peoples cut and dry predictions were to a question has many variables.

Plus whats the fun in a poll when 90% of the people would likely pick "who the hell knows"
Yep, no easy way out! Like it.

I totally agree with this criticism of our staff. The only counter argument I would make is, it's not like they've been handed any genuine prospects to polish.

McGee? Showers? Moore?

The one guy who was drafted was, to me, the least intriguing of them all.

I think what Dak has put on display means we now have the guy on the roster who will take over for Romo.

Based on the overall skill set and his preseason performance, I think we have every right to be excited about that prospect.

Is he definitively our next great QB? Who knows.

I guess the question that needs to be asked is "how good a starter can he be"?

Are we talking probowl level or are we talking about solid starter but not franchise level?

Only time will tell.

Well let's play him in a regular season game and see how he does. He will either sink or swim.

That being said I give the coaching staff credit because they are putting Dak in positions to succeed. You see them working with him, Garrett stays after practice showing him things.

To not give them credit is wrong, is not just natural talent. Dak has been learning from NFL level coaching to say otherwise is just being blind

For all those that are saying no it can't happen, lets not forget Romo wasn't drafted at all. So yes it can happen. Right now lets take baby steps, keep developing him and learning behind Romo. From everything that Im reading if true, the sky is the limit for this kid.
