I guess my point was that the strategy is more relevant to the NFL than process, but it didn't really come off that way
Yeah, I totally get it. Jerry's approach to football "strategy" is to throw his money around and act like a mob boss, thinking that money and false confidence makes everything else magically fall into place. That bleeds into the process and culture side of things, too. He's the classic toxic boss who always ends up bringing out the worst in everyone in the organization.

I'm not nervous. After last night, it should be clear to anyone that even in a simplified offense, Dak can't even drive the bus. Put in someone, ANYONE, and the end result won't be any worse.
I think it's funny so many are blaming solely Dak, and solely Jerry. People are only saying like two things. But those two things say a whole lot.

I honestly feel bad for some of the posters........too young to remember the Jimmy Johnson era and the Triplets and the great OL that was mean. I feel bad for the youngsters, I really do.
I feel bad for them, but not for the same reasons. They think that if they feel like Santa, I should refer to them as Santa. Would be akin to me saying, I've felt like a heart surgeon all my life. You should call me Dr., and allow me to perform cardiovascular surgery on your fam.

Muh feelings, so much.

This team and these players are not about winning against a bully like San Fran. We like wearing gold chains and building our brand. San Fran likes curb stomping posers. This is the way.

I run an independent optometry office, and I buy all the glasses we sell in both offices. A rep called and told me he'd send me some frames, and if I don't like them (or sell them) I could send them back - like a consignment kind of deal. One of them was an old brand, Holston, and the others were called Clear Eye Views. I looked it up, and yup, it's Jaylon's brand. He actually has Clearvision, a reputable company, distributing his stuff now. I SENT THEM BACK IMMEDIATELY. I've never hated a Cowboy player as much as that dude.
If you were smart, you'd brand your own frames..

I will say this one other thing. Just because I'm not going anywhere as a Cowboys fan doesn't mean that Jerry shouldn't be concerned. I know Jerry doesn't read these posts, but, if he did, he should heed what I'm about to say. I sincerely think that I'm of the last generation of Cowboys fans. There might be a few who stay with them in Dallas. However, with how we are treated and with how the Cowboys are what they are now, Jerry and his children will find that this once bastion of gold is going to run out before long. That stadium they built might be the last one they get if the Cowboys stay as they are and this culture stays as it is. So, just because I'm not going anywhere doesn't mean other fans will.
I said it once. When Jerry dies and Stephen takes over, he better change the way he does business. He's not as entertaining as Jerry and sooner or later you can't live off SBs that were won 50 or 60 years ago. Us oldtimers will stay around out of loyalty. The newer generations aren't going to stay loyal to a team that isn't serious about winning.

He knows you will be back and buying the gear crap again and again. Look, I'm Micah Parson, I'm Cee Dee, look, nobody's dak. lol.. children in 3rd world nations will be getting free dak jerseys as write off. go dakie.

Truth!
Once us old timers pass
Most of the young fans will lose interest.
Jerry was blessed to get Romo and dak for free.
Once dak fades, we could have another string like the Campo years.
Jerry will have to get serious

Because it would take all day to call out every bad personel decision. It starts with Jerry, and his 40 mil boy.

You're correct. I will stay, but I'm a very rare breed of fan for my time.

And I'll say it again. He was there 4 years and made the playoffs in 3 of them. Miami was Marino's team. Jimmy didn't have the power he had with Dallas. He needed to move on from him and rebuild. But I'll take Jimmy's 4 years at Miami to Jerry's 28 in Dallas any day.
He never had a running back either until Cecil Collins, who broke his leg before the playoffs (or during, I can't remember). If that doesn't happen he's in the Super Bowl, IMO.

As Jimmy Johnson said : This team is run like a Country Club and not a Football Team.
The concern from the owner down to the players seems to more about money/brand than about winning.
I am sure a few player care, but not enough of them.
There seems to be no personal pride, no swagger.
Where are the Michael Irvin leaders on this team?
The GM has cared more about his comfort level with the HC , hiring weak, unqualified HCs since Jimmy left except the big Tuna.
This Franchise has been a disaster the last 28 years, and it because Jerry is constantly pumping sunshine instead of making winning the priority.
Their is no accountability from the GM on down.
What a sad state of affairs this once proud team has fallen to.

That’s the problem, Jed doesn’t like the JJ and Tuna’s type coaches, he prefers the Country Club environment and that is why our players are soft.
