Guys, until the culture of this team changes, we will be a frustrated fan base. Nobody on this team fears losing their job. If Jimmy was clapping when you were coming off the field, it was because he was glad you wouldn't be playing for him next week. Couple that with all the off-field issues and suspensions and it's a recipe for disaster.

There is no discipline in this organization and that needs to change. This team caught people by surprise last year. That's gone now and we have a coaching staff that is about as vanilla as I've ever seen. They have no imagination. Hate to say it, but its gonna be a long frustrating year guys. Not giving up on them, by any means, but I have very little faith in this coaching staff.....
Green Bay has gone 10-6 the last two seasons. Cowboys have had a 12-4 and 13-3 record two of the last three seasons

We lost to a talented young team that people underestimated. We'll see how the rest goes.

Best thing about Romo leaving is that he isn't there to hide Garrett's inability to do anything that resembles actual coaching. Maybe we will get rid of him yet.
Yep, Tony bailed out the coaching staff time and time again. I can't count the number of times we looked horrible on offense during a game until Tony basically scrapped the normal playcalling and went to playground scrambleball. This coaching staff does not have what it takes to take this team to the next level and they have had plenty of time.

This coaching staff is still in preseason mode. It's always the SOS, different week. Nothing creative on O or D.....

Which players look undisciplined?

Dez and maybe Zeke.

Everybody else looks professional and dedicated.

PFF said he was horrible vs Denver even though he had Von Miller under control until the 4th when we abandoned the run and he could just pin his ears back
Miller didn't have a sack or tackle until about the 4th quarter and he was offsides about 3 times trying to get a sack.

Yep. It the JG every other year plan......
Free was horrible last year and allowed 9 sacks. How could they want him back?

They went to the playoffs with Parnell in 2014 and had a dominant running game. Keeping Free over him to save money was a bad idea.

That plan is perfect for keeping your HC job. Do well one year, get an extension. Suck the next, get a high draft pick. Do well next year with the high draft picks, keep your owner/JG happy for another year. Rinse repeat.

The clapping is annoying, but accountability is the real issue here. They all talk about it, but they just keep making the same mistakes.

For instance They are being stubborn with Collins at RT IMO and the staff won't take accountability for that at all.

Dez isn't accountable. He pretty much sucks and is still regarded as a number 1 WR. Witten won't block and yet he plays almost every down.

I don't think Dez or Witten are professional anymore. Neither do the dirty work or are precise other than Witten padding his stats.

Culture was fine in 2014 and 2016 right?
....I'd go with talent that caught teams by surprise....now JG being exposed for lacking on a lot of things with this team. Taco not coming close to a QB, and this team is gonna ruin Zeke and Dak real soon.

Honestly, I think these losses are needed. These guys were getting a little ahead of themselves. When Dak started appearing in all of these commercials, it kind of went against the attitude he had earlier where he was avoiding commercials because he wanted to focus on the game. The message is clear... if you don't stay focused in this league, you will get beat up.

And yes, I agree that the culture is bad. We just happen to have a great year every now and then to mask it up. Garrett knows how to create a great atmosphere in the locker room and everyone feels like they are brothers and all, but the problem is there is no accountability or fear for messing up. As soon as Switzer made that huge mistake, you could already feel the game slipping away. Switzer's right back on the field. Then, Tyrone Crawford had the ball right next to him on a fumble. If we get that fumble in the red zone, we win that game. Somehow he doesn't pull in a fumble right next to him. Dez Bryant is jogging routes at critical times in the game and ends up not being where he should be. Terrance Williams drops a ball that hits him right in his body at the end of the game. These guys have no fear of screwing up at key moments in the game.

After we lost, did Garrett even look mad or did he walk off the field with a smile? If there's no real accountability or pressure on the HC and he doesn't really apply any accountability to his players, it's no surprise that we lose against tough teams. What's really sad to me is getting beat by a team we were blowing out and the HC doesn't look mad at all. What's doubly worse is Gurley calling the team out a week before the game and saying something along the lines of they were going to beat the cowboys up and him coming in our stadium and actually doing it. Did anyone want to step up and prove him wrong? I'm sorry, but that was an utterly embarrassing performance. Other fans are laughing at us and our HC can walk out with a smile.

Another huge problem is it looks like Dak isn't progressing. He doesn't look comfortable back there and he's starting to look exactly like Romo when Romo had to try to do everything himself, aka the only time our offense is effective is when Romo took it on himself to bust out of the stale offensive system and try to create something by doing a circus play. Now, Dak is doing the same thing. That's not a coincidence. It's the sign of a stale and ineffective offense. We were just able to cover it up last year because we had so much talent on the offense. You can only get by on talent for so long before coaching comes into the equation and you have to outscheme teams.

The offense stinks unless Dak is rolling out and throwing a bomb down the field, aka Romo. I'm sorry, but that's only going to work so much. The fact that the offense is only working when your QB is scrambling around is the sign of a predictable and ineffective offensive system. When was the last time you said, 'whoa, we really outschemed that team?' The fact that we have so much talent on the offense is what masks how ineffective the offensive system is. When our players can't be more physical than the other team and execute this super basic offense, then our offense stalls. The Houston Texans just laid 57 points on the Titans with a rookie qb and much less offensive talent. Why do we rarely ever have performances when we blow teams out when we have much more talent on that offensive side of the ball?

Witten has been in a steep decline for years as a blocker. He really can't get it done and I promise you it's not a new phenomenon. He is a well below average blocker bordering on totally ineffective. He is in the same class as the pass catching tight end that we drafted in the second round that never could block at this point.

Every team that's winning has a TE that can get downfield, and get YAC. Witt is running like his shoes are one size smaller and a corn on toe is killing him.

Running in quicksand. My biggest problem with Witten is that he can't block for **** and that is a problem for our running game and yards after catch.

Oh, I thought the Denver game was what we needed?
