Does it sound to anyone else that Jerry is laying the groundwork for having him try to play with the brace? It sounds to me like he finally decided to acknowledge that Jaylon's knee is not where they hoped it would be and that it may never fully function properly. But not to worry, he can play just like he is now cause Jerry says so.

Bold prediction

This guy never plays a down in the NFL.

How long did we wait to IR him fully? The whole season? We trusted our doctors time line for recovery and drafted him, fed the it'll fire by August bs. Picked up a fan during the preseason that was so excited about him, I told him he wouldn't play this year, he was adamant that he'd be back by week ten at the latest. Lol I wonder if he ever thought about that conversation again as I tried to bet him.

It was pretty much a given that he wasn't going to play this year.

That's not what they were telling us when we drafted him, all through the summer, training camp, and even through the season. If I'm not mistaken he was IR designated to return

Yeah, in case a miracle happened.

No one who pays attention really thought he was playing this year.

And if you still want to bet, I'll wager with ya that he sees the field this year.

{telling us] and just in case are not synonymous

That was my point, I knew he wasn't playing this past year and in case a miracle happens is and was poor roster management

Nah no bet, I bet on sure things. My prediction is based more on thinking that he's going to be rushed back and re-injure himself to the point where he won't have career

Cowboys have to plan to not have him in 2017. If he recovers and is able contribute then great, but cannot depend on Jaylon solving ANY of the problems on D. To do so is fools gold.

I think the NFL Network needs a 3 hour special on Jaylon's nerve and have a panel to discuss it. I propose that the panel consist of Jerry Jones in the role of snake oil salesman, Emmitt Smith serving as the "wordsmith", Michael Irvin as the motivator, and Ray Lewis because that man is crazy. He is so crazy that he would probably pull a gun on Jaylon to encourage him to make the nerve regenerate faster.

Jaylon of course would be the star of the show but would by rule not be able to speak, but could communicate by twitter. His foot could be wrapped with a blanket to create drama over whether he is wearing the brace or not.

I would add Steve Young to the panel but would not allow him to speak at all because he is such an *******. I would seat him next to Emmitt so that he could enjoy all of Emmitt's expansive vocabulary along with whatever new words Emmitt wanted to create on the spot.

Would that be with or without the brace??

We can't be that blessed to have him at 100%. Jaylon and Zeke in one draft is obscene.

I see what you did there. Aren't you forgetting someone? Malik Collins? I mean come on Risen, get with it

That is bold considering that if weren't on the IR he could have played against GB.

You really think they were going to use a gameday active spot in a playoff game on a guy who has never played a down in the NFL and has no control over half of one of his legs unless he is wearing a brace? That was just more bs about an injured player.
