Pretty much a guard only, but interesting. Tom Cable has a history of ruining offensive linemen. He's a candidate for a change of scenery.

Duke says he needs a good and patient OL coach. Says Dallas not a fit, lol.

Kinda makes me wonder where any players cut from this offense go?………Home Depot? McDonalds?

If Ridgeway made it over Watkins...then we need a new D-line coach. All you got to see is Ridgeway get his *** stomped in the 4th quarter vs Seattle....to know he isn't NFL material. Guy was literally getting pushed 7-10 yards downfield....then got folded in two @ the goaline.

Watkins doesn't have to pass through Waivers like Ridgeway. would have to.
They just cut the entire special teams specialists group too.
the moves were designed ot expose as few guys as possible to the waiver wire before other teams initial rosters are set.

He has been with the team for a while, clearly they like him.

I think this is only year three for Dowdle and last year, year two, was spent on IR. He's okay but has looked slightly sluggish since coming back from that last injury. At least to my eye. He had more juice before. But the point stands.. there are a hundred thousand guys with his and Davis' body type who could be serviceable NFL RBs if even for a minute. The special ones show you more.. and you know it when you see it. I hope they are able to get Davis back on the PS because I like his running style and I know he's a good receiver. He just never could stay healthy in college.. so I can't expect him to do so in the pros.. That relegates him to rotational back until proven otherwise.

Actually you said he was a fit at OG only, just didn't note that for any specific team.
I added the Cowboys centric context here with a note from the premiere OL trainer who happens to reside in Frisco, TX.

As this is a Cowboys board that's what most people care about.

•rambo was a player we visited with during the draft.
•josh johnson,tulsa wr was a player we reportedly liked also.
•kevin austin was a good player at notre dame.

the bills cut 2 te's i like...
oj howard and texas a&m's jalen wydermeyer.
but we're good at te.

i don't think we'll add any of those wr's.
they just got my attention.

Potential. Watkins has none, while Ridgeway is a rookie. We kept six DTs, so it isn't like we're expecting Ridgeway to contribute much right now. Watkins lost his job because of Bohanna's improvement and even Hill's, not because of Ridgeway. Our DT rotation will be Odighizuwa, Gallimore, Bohanna, Golston and Hill. Ridgeway will likely be inactive for most games.

That's not what potential is. You're gauging him on what he did in a preseason game to determine his ceiling. That's not how you gauge his potential. You're talking from emotion....

That's not what it says at all lol. It says they are either trying to manipulate the depth chart system in the NFL or they think both guys suck.
