Why not cut Hardy and save the money? He's not exactly dominating, the season's done, and hopefully we don't plan on re-signing him. We're paying him a lot of money per game - what's the point?

Why would we cut players on the only side of the ball that is playing well? Hardy isn't getting 10,000 sacks, but maybe the attention he is getting is enabling Lawrence to do what he's been doing lately.

Because we don't want to win and he's overpaid!! What's the point!

I want him back next year if the price is right.

He's proven he can't be fully trusted. Can't give him big money. Has to be incentive laden, just like Lee's.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Unless the idea is to placate the N.O.W., I don't see the point.

The point is our top goal right now should be to lose the next two games. So cutting Hardy helps us accomplish that goal while also saving us a couple of million, which could be rolled over to our cap space next year (I think). So why the heck wouldn't we cut him?? It's a win-win?

A better question would be what's the point in keeping him?

I sign him to a cap friendly deal right now if he is willing to play ball.

He hasn't been even close to the force I thought he'd be but I still want to resign him for a decent contract.

I don't know about cutting him now but I'm not sure we need to bring him back next year. I don't see Gregory getting many snaps as long as Hardy is on the team. Gregory is purely a WDE. Eventually we're gonna have to hand the reins over to Gregory. We could use that extra money to sign a safety, DT, CB or many other positions.

Going to be a long ...very long...off season ....

If he is allowed to leave via FA, we may get more for a comp pick than by any money saved.
However, better yet, sign him to a cap friendly deal, as he has made a difference.
Maybe not as much as we all hoped for. But expectation were maybe too high from fans.

If let go then would need to spend money or a draft pick to replace him in the rotation.
