Why would we cut players on the only side of the ball that is playing well? Hardy isn't getting 10,000 sacks, but maybe the attention he is getting is enabling Lawrence to do what he's been doing lately.
Unless the idea is to placate the N.O.W., I don't see the point.
The point is our top goal right now should be to lose the next two games. So cutting Hardy helps us accomplish that goal while also saving us a couple of million, which could be rolled over to our cap space next year (I think). So why the heck wouldn't we cut him?? It's a win-win?
A better question would be what's the point in keeping him?
I sign him to a cap friendly deal right now if he is willing to play ball.
