Cut Hardy?

I don't know about cutting him now but I'm not sure we need to bring him back next year. I don't see Gregory getting many snaps as long as Hardy is on the team. Gregory is purely a WDE. Eventually we're gonna have to hand the reins over to Gregory. We could use that extra money to sign a safety, DT, CB or many other positions.

We are going to have plenty of money for Hardy and whatever we need, also Hardy moves inside on come rushing downs and has to be rested anyway. There are plenty of snaps for Gregory in that scenario. IMO the best scenario for Gregory and for the team is for him to be more of a nickel rush specialist next year who gets additional reps spelling Hardy and DLaw.

Why not cut Hardy and save the money? He's not exactly dominating, the season's done, and hopefully we don't plan on re-signing him. We're paying him a lot of money per game - what's the point?

It would be a bush league move to do such a thing for one. Two, if he plays out the contract we may receive a compensation pick down the road if he departs via free agency. Third, try recruiting a top tier free agent down the road that is represented by Hardy's current agent and be prepared to suffer.

Resign him. Can't have too many pass rushers. Especially if one gets injured.

I'm also pretty sure he's dealing with an ankle/shin thing. Didn't really pay attention this last game but he's hobbled off the field a few times the last few weeks.

You should just make FIRE HARDY in your sig.

Not saying you don't have a valid stance. OTOH, he actually has been on very good behavior the past few weeks. I actually think him working with Calvin Hill and his staff is a good situation for everybody.

I just wish people would accept that Jerry Jones honestly tries to rehabilitate his players. He deserves the right to work. The worst thing Hardy has done since becoming a Cowboy was insensitive commentary. His behavior has improved. I say let it ride and see what happens.

Yeah his stride is shortened and he has that hitch in his giddyup when he moves to a sprint. Definitely lower leg.

Geesh. Though crowd. I don't think its a ridiculous idea. Lawrence and Gregory look like they could be the bookends next season. Plus, it would save money.

I personally would keep him and try to sign him in the offseason.

Let him test the Market, lowball him to comeback, then decide at the last minute...

If Hardy isn't a force what was Ware, when he disappeared against TEs blocking him.

Apparently, people think sacks are the only stats. If Hardy is gone, the DL will be chirping again.

Even Sturm has been pointing out that Hardy destroys everything his way.

People act like Hardy isn't going to command money. He's already played out the media BS, which was the main thing detracting teams from him.

Everybody knows his worth. He's going to command a hell of a lot of money. If Jerry low-balls him, Hardy isn't going to take the insult.

He doesn't owe Jerry and the Cowboys anything either. He wasn't taking rest on the field and his motor was non-stop. He more than fulfilled his part of the contract.

Guys like Garrett on the other hand, got paid for doing jack squat.

if you watch football, listen to any sports radio, and read Cowboys articles you would not have to ask this question. Dare you not sign him and have the Giants or Eagles sign him. He will be smacking Tony all day. Not smart. Not smart.

Guy has a clean record, balls out, and causes less game day distractions then Dez. What's da problem.

I want Hardy back, at one point I wanted him cut, but he will be a force with Lawrence next year if he's here

It's not a good look for future free agents.

Price tag shouldn't be so high so re-signing him may be resonable. Also gotta add a big ugly at 1 tech that can clog up the middle, require double teams, and get constant pressure. That would help this line tremendously.

It's too late to cut him, if we were going to cut him we would have done it before incentives started kicking in (but back then we were still in a playoff race with a healthy Romo about to come back), anymore we don't save that much by doing it.
