Cut Joseph Today

I have been a supporter of the kid because he has the physical tools. But clearly he lacks the football smarts. That much is painfully evident at this point. I would not cut him now because they are already down two CBs and it doesn't look like anyone they have is much better than him. But after this season I would put him on notice. He is going to get cut unless he wises up quite a bit from where he is now. I have a feeling he does not make it through training camp next year.

It is a shame because he has the physical tool he just needs to mature a lot more.

So maybe Joseph is a prick.
Maybe....or maybe Al isn't as good as I thought. He played in one of my former university....so, I give him credit.....I was a coach, but I know we can't win without players

Everyone knows he made the team because he was picked relatively high in the second round, and the Cowboys (Jerry) is trying to give him every chance to succeed. Me and many others didn’t think Joseph would even make the team this season. We made a mistake, but it’s too far into the season to move on from him now. We could have moved on earlier in the season like we did with Tristan Hill but we started suffering injuries at corner and the Cowboys were happy with his special teams play. It’s not killing the team to hold onto him as insurance until we finish out the season. It’s not like his playtime hasn’t been reduced.
We will see if you’re saying this when his special teams play negates a huge return in the playoffs. We can re visit keeping him on the roster for his “special teams ability”

Well. He has been coaching DIGGS and Bland who are both thriving. Also brown and Lewis were playing their best ball ever in the NFL under him.

So it makes you wonder….

He made a couple mistakes last night on special teams, but overall this season he’s been good on special teams this season. It’s not hurting the team to keep him as insurance the rest of this season. We’ve exhausted this topic we’ll see how it plays out.

Really! You are okay with all his dumb penalties and the way he reacts after the penalties. He acts like he did nothing wrong.
Did you see the CB on Tennessee after he held Galloop for a 50 yard gain? Did he jump up and down and complain? Hel_ no! he was smart enough to realize he made a stupid mistake holding 50 yards down field!
No, he shoulda been let go 3 weeks ago! Agree! But when have we been held accountable for penalties?! You must be a new fan.

God forbid, a player should show any emotion while entertaining the most numbskull fanbase.

What if you cut him and 2 corners get hurt.

We have two corners on the practice squad (Mackensie Alexander and Kendall Sheffield) and Trevon Diggs, Daron Bland, Nahshon Wright, Trayvon Mullen, and C.J. Goodwin on the active roster. Kelvin Joseph is NOT needed.

Can you do the math and show your work?

I am hesistant to give up on a 2nd round pick and it's clear Joseph has talent but it seems like he's involved in something negative on the field every week. He even struggled in preseason against backups if I remember right. If the coaches think the team needs a wake up call before the playoffs making an example out of a high pick like Joseph could do the trick. He's expendable at this point.

The fact the Cowboys went out and got Alexander and Mullen reflects their level of confidence in Joseph too. It's not working.

yep what would jimmy do?
however jerry gave a 2nd round pick for him, so he may keep him till his contract is up.
jerry did say he needed to man up and let the rap stuff go, but bossman aint giving nothing up.

Yeah it's not looking good for Joseph's future here. At this point they've lowered his defensive playing time to virtually 0, but based on how thin the unit has gotten I'm not sure they move on from him now. Doesn't mean he isn't inactive for future playoff games, but he really has a knack for standing out in a negative way.
Mukuamu would actually probably be better than h at corner

If the Eagles win, Joseph is going to play against Washington.

Al is a good coach....but, if you can't make a player out of a draft choice...someone needs to be fired. Take that and shut the heck up! You don't know what I do! Go push your pencils! Lol!!!!!
Your going to blame Al Harris if he cannot make Joseph a player?
Is that what you do, fire your coaches if they can’t coach up a very low IQ player that doesn’t learn from their mistakes. You must go through a lot of coaches.

Not the way he is playing! He is not cutting down on his dumb penalties either.
