Cutting Dez is a Huge Mistake

These last couple of years, almost every team we faced had an answer for Dez: They would play him physical and he would be a non-factor. This past year, Beasely garnered more attention from defenses than Dez. Dak is not a "throw up a prayer" and hope it's caught QB like Tony was and Dez is no longer a "prayer catcher" like he once was. I actually thought our offense was better when Dez was out with injury.
Add in the injuries starting to pile up and the mental case he seems to be and he just wasn't "the right kind of guy". Unless we find the second coming of Randy Moss or Julio Jones, or Jerry Rice, no receiver is worth 12 million dollars a year: They are but 1/11th of the offense.
Pretty good post @DUO_CORE , yet that whole
" Tony throwing up a prayer" kinda qb is rather irksome to have stumbled across ,The hyperlink speed up in His footballish wheelhouse seemed to always Orient him with near pinpoint accuracy to where those receivers should be if continuing there designed play route after he's been pawed, pulled, hit AnD spun around in a couple 360° whizz-dizzys,,,that wasn't chucking it up down field with a hopeful prayer like ol' #12 would do,,,,oh,no,no,no!
#9 churned thru all that backfield morass of confusion& would come up in a focused& determined set firing position with 100% intent on making those MO-FO's putting the heat on him to PAY DEARLY,,,
now, from what I've seen thus far in #4's wheel house, he's got to spend precious time in figuring out once again after pressure just which direction his goal line is in

First, a pet peeve of mine... it's "You're" not "Your". JG is not the problem with this team. We can agree to disagree on that point. I believe we are headed in the right direction and cutting Dez is just proof to me that they are committed to getting better. Disagree with me but DO NOT call me delusional. You disrespect me when you do that.
Yer' just a genuine stickler with that " you're& your" literary sniggler of a pet peeve, huh,Joe?o_O

I think the idea is that Dak is a correct-read, spread it around guy so you don't need the star #1.

Plus there are a ton of solid WRs we can add in the first three rounds of this draft.

But its still a mistake unless there are hobo graves in Dez's backyard.
You have to be able to see the whole field to make the correct read...

And worst of all, what did these morons accomplish in waiting?

They waited three months to outright release him?

Waiting until the prime of free agency was over?

And until everyone in the world knew they were doing it so you nuked any trade value he might have had?

Bumpkins.
:lmao:Stash! That's BILLIONAIRE BUMPKINS ,now,to illustrate a likely scenario broken down into the BUMPKINESE of understanding it would be something akin to big daddy bumpkin buying his little baby girl daughter Suzy Q Bumpkin a blue ribbon winning Shetland pony, well little Suzy Q Bumpkin after several years of loving that blue ribbon winner pony outgrew it,well,Big Daddy BUMPKIN buys little SuzyQBUMPKIN a neon pink Vette, now through out this whole time, the red headed stable boy BIG DADDY BUMPKIN employed to feed, groom& muck out the stable started whining about having to expend his efforts in a pointless manner,in the continued stabling of the pampered blue ribbon winner pony & gained the big bumpkins approval to alleviate the red-headed stable boy's daily labors by giving the stable mucker permission to do whatever as that neon pink Vette car insurance was was doubling twice a year due to all the d.u.I.'s & speeding tickets little SuzyQBumpkin was laying down on the big daddy,so the little blue ribbon award winning Shetland pony was led away in the dark of night to the first bunch of traveling gypsies that rode thru the big D bumpkin estateo_O

* and that's Bumpkinese logic 101,
ROO ! It's best read in the voice of Samuel L Jackson

At this point it was a huge mistake, if you wanted to make the mediocre Cowboys not mediocre we have done that.

It was a good move to let Dez go now Dak will have new guys to throw to and from what I saw on the midseason report show Dallas is looking and get a tall fast wide receiver in the draft

Go Cowboys we now have a bottom 5 receiving core in the league, if that is Dak friendly than sure.

I don't think it would've hurt to hear his terms to rearranging his contract. Then again, we don't know what truly happened behind closed doors.

I agree, he'll probaly end up in Philly and get to the SB, soo
Lucky Dez, good thing for him and not so much for us. He'll play for an organization that wants to win

That would suck. I wish he would go to an AFC team that we rarely play, the Dolphins or the Jets maybe.

2017 Dez was essentially Cooper Kupp, but with sideline meltdowns (and who knows how many other ones). Some of you are acting as if Dallas just cut Jerry Rice in his prime. He isn't even Dez in his prime.

Besides, if losing Dez is such a disaster and the Cowboys go 4-12 won't that make some of you happy? You can have a top 10 pick and maybe Jerry will even hire you a new puppet? You might even get a rookie QB, and since he's a first rounder that's a guaranteed "franchise QB" (never mind that half of them bust). I think some folks would take those things over another SB title, given how they openly root for them. :muttley:

Actually he was:
Stephon Diggs
Davante Adams
Devin Funchess
JuJu Schuster
Alshon Jeffrey
Demaryius Thomas

This place would crap themselves if we traded Dez for anyone of them and yet we already had him

I love when grown men say that the emotional antics of one diva WR makes all other grown men unable to do their work .... we all know WRs are divas ....deal with it

DWare and Dez are not of the same caliber of player for their respected positions. Dez couldn't hold DWare's shoe laces.

Your position is incorrect.
Child please

Dez' best 5 years are on par with DWare's and you know it...DWare just didn't have a huge injury like Dez

The more I hear after the fact , the better I feel. It's not like Dez has been lighting it up the last 3 years. We got rid of big case of drama that he is confirming more and more in the media. Good riddance

I'm withholding judgment. I can see the possibility that it will be very good for Dallas, or very bad. It all depends on how the Cowboys deal with Dez's departure and adjust.
