I want to imagine having the cognitive dissonance to see a team score 38 and have the defense give up 49 and somehow think that it falls on the QB.
Then again there is nothing more telling of a low football IQ then trying to make wins into a QB stat. It is basically the giant red flag that the person does not know football.
Not only are wins a QB stat, wins are the most important QB stat. Most important are wins in big games. There are a few exceptions when teams have a great defense like the Bears or the offense of the 90s super bowl Cowboys.
The QB touches the ball on every offensive play. The QB audibles, the QB progresses through his reads. The QB sets the tone early, score early and get the lead. The QB knows when to go hurry up and when to slow it down. The QB has to be clutch on 3rd down. The QB has to know when to take a sack, when to not risk a turnover. The QB has to know how to respond on offense when the defense is off. The QB processes input from the players in the huddle. Needs to know who is hot, who is not. The QB controls the game more than any other player.
QBs who do the above well will have winning records. QBs who consistently do the above are elite.
Dak is not elite. His most elite season was his rookie year when the team leaned on Elliott and the OL. Dak only drove the bus that year.
You mention one game, the Cleveland game. Care to look at the other 4 games? How about the last 4 years?
