Would have to go with Parsons, barely though

Speed is why. Ware a 4.56 forty guy, Parsons 4.39. And though it's hard to tell for sure, Parsons appears to be stronger, he bull rushes offensive linemen, Ware didn't do that as much, if memory serves.

But how would you like to have Ware and Parsons both on the Cowboys? That'd be borderline illegal lol...
actually Ware bull rushed a lot of LTs
Ware had one of the fastest takeoffs ever; Refs were constantly calling him offsides and tape showed otherwise but Jethro never did anything about it

Through 4 years Ware had 53.5 sacks

If Parsons exceeds that total by getting 5 more giving him totals of 13, 13.5, 14 and 13.5 then I'd say it's at least close

Ware's monster season of 20 stands out, but both players hit 14 in year 3

But Parsons put up about 7 more sacks in the first two years

I know I ask a lot of questions on here (cue jokes 3, 2,1), this is probably the hardest you'll ever have to answer! Both great pass rushers, talented, and fierce off the ball. Who you taking in their prime?? Please give your thoughts

Micah recently mentioned he was in his prime so....

what a joke. The NFL has been favoring offense since the late 80's.
You do know Ware was still playing ten years ago right?
Ware got held just as much and got just as few holding calls
Ware also got several off-sides calls that were BS. He was just that fast off the ball.

Yeah, people spew crapp like that, I know to ignore them. I wonder if they have any idea how inane they sound?
Right...and Haley's 5 SB rings and induction into the HOF must be "crapp" as well. Did you even watch him play? If you are talking about game-wreckers and pass rushers that every QB feared, LT and Haley set the standard.

Ware was one of the top 5 game wreckers of all time. Not sure why you're bringing up Haley and LT. Ware is of the same ilk, but w/o anywhere near the talent around him that those two had.

Ware every day all day. He was just as good as Parsons, but actually wanted to win SBs. No silly distractions like that stupid podcast, and no laughing his *** off having a good time on the sidelines while in the process of getting destroyed and clowned on the scoreboard. It's just too bad that he had to take the only path to a SB available to JonesBoys draftees - play for another team.

Wow, could you use another word besides "violent " to describe a young black player...
Ok -- I will give you that. You are correct. In the 1% or less of people on this board that might get it. I could have chosen a better description.

He is sudden and forceful. He put a big shot on Young -- just blew by the LT. That is the sort of stuff I saw from the other LT back in the day. He plays angry.

You're as bad as those who used to fuss about Ware not making sacks "when it counted." Fans gets their panties in a bunch about a player and can't see straight. Parsons is going hard throughout the game, fighting through blocks, running full speed and constantly getting pressure. Yet, some of you are going to dismiss that because he gets tired and has a podcast.

I don't understand it. It's just inane. It's like the anti-Romo crowd that made up a stat, win-or-go-home games, in order to diminish his play. I sometimes think Dallas fans have gotten what they deserve with Jerry Jones mismanagement these last 30 years.
My criticisms are more than just "when it counted" though....clearly I said more than that in my post.

I don't like his attitude, his off the field trash talk, or the fact he can't pace himself for 4 quarters and runs himself out of plays. I find him far more limited than Ware as well outside of pass rushing - Ware was an all around all-time great. Micah when he's not getting to the QB is a ghost.

Parsons is better! He's playing in a time where the league favors offense and you could call holding on every play against Parsons.
The league benefits pass rushers more now than it ever has. If anything, players like Strahan, Ware, and Jared Allen would tear the league up. It's not even uncommon for a pass rusher to face 3 QBs in a row who are on pace to throw 530-600 passes in a season.
