With the stupid salaries thrown around to mediocre players no wonder JJ and Stephen want to lockup Ware before his contract is up.

What kinda numbers would be thrown his way next year in an uncapped year?

150 million? More?

I have a hard time believing there is going to be an uncapped year. I think something will get done to avoid that.

That being said, if I was Ware, and I thought there was going to be an uncapped year, I'd wait until the end of the year. He'll have plenty of suitors, teams driving up the price, and if there was an uncapped year, ouch!

JJ should of signed Ware before FA, his value just went up a few million a year.

He should have been signed during the bye week last year or at sometime between his 12th and 16th sack. The contracts keep getting larger every year so waiting until another free agency period began only increases the dollars he will cost.

I was just about to make a thread like this. what's taking them so long? for every day that goes by you got Al Davis and Dan Snyder handing out huge contracts to players who don't deserve them.

Instead of giving that future HOFer Hamlin a 6 year 39 million dollar deal they should have resigned Ware. Then again maybe they tried?

Thats easy for you to say but he's staring at $35-40 million guaranteed and if he doesn't take it and gets hurt this season, he could loss out bigtime.

I forgot what article it was, but someone post an article the other day saying Dallas offered a deal in the Jared Allen range (slightly higher).

If I'm Ware... and I saw the deal Haynesworth got, I'd laugh at such an offer.

Maybe Ware is holding out for 100+Million. Maybe that's what the hang up is. And if it is, good for Ware. If Haynesworth can get 100M, Ware should too.

What to you suppose Ratliff would say to that 20.5 million dollar deal he signed 14 months ago had he been an UFA today?

Oh God.

Thank God we signed him when we did, lol.

Canty just got 42M with 17.5M G. Ratliff would have gotten more than that.

knowing Jerry he will give d-ware the biggest contract in NFL history just to make a headline even though he doesn't deserve it.

Man youre not kidding. With the money Canty got and the year Ratliff had he would of made at least double what he got.

I think he's the best D player in the NFL. He deserves to be the highest paid D player in NFL hisory.

he doesn't deserve a 100+ million. that kind money should go to 1 guy and that's Tom Brady. D-Ware should get a contract a little bigger than the one Jared Allen got.

I think Ware deserves to be the highest paid defensive player in NFL history because he's a class act who plays lights out.

The salary structure in the NFL is constantly changing. What somebody deserved even a year ago is different from what they deserve now. Ware should send Dan Synder and Al Davis fruit baskets for contributing to the payday he's about to receive.

The deal Ware gets will be larger than what Haynesworth and Allen got.

Ware will be the highest paid defensive player in the league when he signs it.

Book it.

They can always franchise him. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
