Dak 1 out of 3 QBs to make playoffs last 4 out of 6 full or almost full seasons

Stafford has been around longer. Anyone who's been around this long and doesn't have career achievements that surpasses someone who's not even 30 probably should retire. What I'm saying is.... Dak has done well for someone who's been around only 6 years - he was injured for another. He hasn't been benched. He's usually always in the playoffs. And remained with the same team. That's usually a sign of consistency.

Now he needs playoff success, for sure.

Lol, haven't had such a laugh at a thread since Rocky tried to justify that Dak was accurate in the Redzone, but failed to use the filter feature, which when activated showed Dak to be statistically mediocre in that facet.

Rogers got to play the Bears, Lions, and Vikings 6 times a year for 14 years as starting QB. Dak got to play the... well you get it. You pick up 2 more wins you get a shot at the playoffs, simple arithmetic. Not even an argument for that one.

Injury year doesn't count

Dak

made playoffs (2016, 2018, 2021, 2022... assuming)
missed playoffs (2017, 2019)
injured (2020)

Rodgers

made playoffs (2016, 2019, 2020, 2021)
missed playoffs (2018, 2022... assuming)
injured (2017)

Brady

made playoffs (2017-2021)
missed playoffs (?.. possibly 2022 but they're still very much in it)

That's it. Elite company. Unless something crazy happens and he misses the playoffs this year, I don't see how the Jones will even think of moving on from him anytime soon.

Love how you add 2022 for Dak then say assuming. Then not the same for Brady who, believe it or not, has the Bucs tied for 1st in their division.

Then you don't even include Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, or Patrick Mahomes who have made the playoffs as much or more in less years (3 minimum each plus leading their division this year since you are giving Dak this year).

And by the way of you are going to use 2016 to 2021, Wilson made the playoffs in 16, 18, 19, and 20.

I support Dak as I do all Cowboys, but come on man.

It's last 6 years. I said SIX. Do the math. Wilson is falling hard. I'd rather be in Dak's shoes than Wilson's shoes right now. As for Mahomes, sure you can count him. So that's Dak, Mahomes, Rodgers, Brady, thanks for proving my point.

And Allen, and Jackson... both with 3 and in the playoff hunt this year...

I honestly stopped there so may be more.

We could make it the last 5 seasons (including this one) and then it would be Brady, Mahomes, Jackson, Allen, and Rodgers with 4 (including 2022), but no Dak. So I guess that's counter to what you are doing.

What about the other 52 players? Were they there too, or just Dak?

They only matter when we lose.

The receivers didn't get open or they dropped tons of catchable balls

The backs are slow
The line can't block
The defense can't stop anyone or create turnovers
Etc etc

Dak is the one guy who's not mentioned when we lose for guys like the op

He gets a the credit for success and zero responsibility for failure

He's a bargain at any price!

No Jackson was 2019 and 2020. He has only 2, possibly 3. I admit my mistake with Allen and Mahomes. So it's Allen, Mahomes, Rodgers, Brady, and Dak. But whatever.... I'm done here.

Jackson literally started a playoff game in 2018 against the Chargers after going 6-1 to get them there.

Unless you want to count the 2-3 leg injury season Dak has never been below .500 in a season. We want to see more success in the playoffs, but Dak isn't the bad QB some may attempt to paint.

One playoff win in six years.

You're the same keyboard warrior that cries and screams ".team game"... When you need to.
Now you trotting out qb playoff stats? Like it ain't team game?

Cred is destroyed.

The real problem is like I just said.....when people get critical of Dak they scream "team game". But when they want...they post this horse ship.

Can't have it both ways. Keep it real if you dare.

You don't get it man

Dak got us to the playoffs singlehandedly

It's up to the team to produce actual playoff wins. Don't you understand the point of this thread?

It’s broadly accepted that the Qb gets too much credit for wins and credit for losing. We all know it’s a team game but one just has to google “X quarterback playoff record or wins and losses” and it pops right up.

just have to simply judge the decisions, and throws from each game to evaluate fairly. When receivers aren’t open it becomes apparent and usually pointed out to those not watching it. If a qb is under duress it also very apparent.

my personal opinion of Rayne this year is, He was awful against the Bucs, average after injury but played well enough against the Lions , and was tremendous against the Bears

inconsistent so far this short sample size but recouping from the injury and improving every quarter……and with no lofty expectations either

I say this with no bias whatsoever……but with extreme caution

It's about damn time

Put some effort into trying to pump up a player who actually deserves it

See that's your opinion. You're biased against him. It's a personal thing you have. Arguably subjective. Now you tell me why Dak doesn't deserve praise? He has a winning record overall and has three 10 win seasons, and this year is looking really good to get that again. Now I realize he was injured and Rush went 4-1, but still.... it's a good looking season and so far he's looking pretty good to capturing a high amount of wins again - all except that first game of the year vs Tampa.

If you're saying "he beats weak opponents" well..... Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees, Russell Wilson all caught an L against him in 2016 and 2018, so I'd say that theory applies only to his most recent output.

Yeah totally get it, it looks hypocritical. I still think I prefer the excuse crowd though vs those that try to pick apart a few bad throws after a good Dak game or pining for Rush if Dak doesnt play well. We all want the same thing and whether you like Dak or not, rooting against him to prove a point seems counterproductive to the cause.
