when you thought the stupid threads have ended, I miss the dak is better than Mahomes, etc, but now as good as Brady. sheesh, the illusion is real. I think he has now reached the legend of Rico Gathers. sheesh.
Hey genius enlighten us on where the OP remotely said anything close to that

We can wait

All I know is Tom threw 6 Touchdowns in his first 6 playoff games (1 per game) and went 6-0 in those games. Dak threw 6 Touchdowns in his 4 playoff games (and ran for 3 more) but somehow only managed to go 1-3. I'm guessing the defense matters, but who cares right.

The Pats had an elite defense to start Brady's career. They held the Greatest Show on Turf to 14 points. The year he won at Tampa they also had an elite defense, hell he three 3 picks in a half and still won. That's a rare playoff occurrence, I'm sure it's happened before but I can't recall. But none of that takes away from Brady as the undisputed Goat. His body is not of this earth. I know he works hard and does all the right things eating and such, but even so lots of people do that and no one else has held up into their mid-40s. He could probably play another 5 years if he chose to - his play today isn't why the Bucs are 6-6. Brady also didn't play his first year in the league.

The NFL has to answer to OSHA.
Player safety was the reason for those rules. There was no conspiracy to increase scoring. Y'all act like CTE isn't a real thing.

The "you can only play two hand touch with the QB" rule was enacted after Brady got hurt in 2008 and missed the whole season. The "you have to escort a receiver who leaps for the ball politely to the ground" rule came along in 2003. I remember because Darren Woodson got one of the highest fines in NFL history at the time for his hit on that Seattle receiver (Pinkston?). That was the first year of that rule. The CTE lawsuit was filed in 2012 so no it had no bearing on those rule changes. Nor did it have any impact on the no contact on receivers after 5 yards which I believe was enacted in 1975 .. which also had nothing to do with safety and everything to do with scoring. Same with the legalization of the use of hands by offensive linemen which I believe was adopted in 1979 or 1980. Again.. it was designed to make it easier to play offense and increase scoring.. and had nothing to do with safety.

Dak - 153..... at 29 years old and a half
Brady - 147.... at 29 years old and a half

Just saying.... it's possible. Not saying they're the same Quarterback, but it's possible Dak can take a stab at that record, and his current year isn't even over yet. He'll probably finish around 162-165 Touchdowns.

He needs a little over 300 (which is roughly double more to go) to crack the Top 15 considering a few other current QBs who might keep up his same pace.

Ironically, Prescott is currently tied with Staubach's career TD pass total at 153.

Prescott - 153... at 29 years old and a half
Mahomes - 180... at 27 years old and a quarter

I will get shot down for this (which I'm happy to accept) but I never get the Brady GOAT stuff. He played in a putrid division for nearly 20 years so the Patriots gained easy Ws AND as a direct result, ended up with home field advantage in the playoffs. This all enhanced his legacy no end.

......oh, and the HC was a cheating f***** as well.
I agree 100%. To me Manning is the GOAT

Brady started his career 2 decades ago. The game was different back then. And they didn't have Brady dropping back 40-50 times a game like we did with Dak at one point. Brady didn't start slinging it all over until later in his career. Well after the time frames we are comparing.

But it also shows how being drafted into the right situation makes a different. Brady goes to the Patriots with Bill and a really good defense. Dak goes to Jason Garrett and the circus of Dallas with a terrible defense.

Had Brady been drafted by Dallas instead of NE and played in the dark years of the early 2000s, his career would have been the complete opposite.

When you laugh like a jackalope at the statistical accomplishments of your own franchise QB, what does that say about you as a fan? Nice exposure there.

Would be nice to see a stat of games led versus games from behind. I’m sure Brady has been leading a lot more games than from behind which would slow his TD numbers down. Dak has a lot of garbage time points.
