Agreed on not overpaying him, but Dak isn't the problem.

You let it play out. If he has a great season and leads you to an nfc championship at least and plays well in the playoffs you can pay him. Even if it’s an overpay compared to what it would be now.

Make him prove he can win in the playoffs… without that…. It’s pointless to give him 4 years just to free up cap. It’s a calculated risk I’m willing to take.

Yes it must be that. It wouldn't make any sense if the same quarterback was making the same mistakes during high pressure moments in the play offs.
