If we let him walk and traded for Wilson or Stafford...
It's funny, I seem to remember the Dak haters swearing up and down that they were opposed to paying huge money to a QB in general. That their argument was that big-money passers don't and can't and won't win anything because the advantage teams have with a QB working on his rookie contract is insurmountable.

They weren't like, "I'm actually super down to pay monster money to a QB. I just want to make sure, whoever it is, they're in their mid-30's and they also cost us several 1st rounders on top of everything." If Russell Wilson's name came up in the debates, it was usually as a cautionary tale, as if to say, "See, they won with him when they were paying him peanuts. They made the mistake of paying him real money, and it stopped being viable."

In reality, I think their idea was that we should be going all-in with a rookie, since they assumed they would easily be just as good as Dak from day 1 and they'd give us 5 cheaper seasons. They would've had us trade 3 or 4 1st rounders to go get Trevor Lawrence, if they're being honest. But they aren't trying to be honest about that right now since that looks insanely stupid and disastrous.

Aaron Rodgers threw for a buck eighty. I’m not here to disrespect a legend but the packers won that game. The defense that kept kyler in check all game and forced turnovers won that game. The RBs getting 150+ on the ground won that game.

you could have easily swapped out Rodgers for dak and had the same outcome. Blake bortles would have had a shot at the W with how the packers played that game.
Sometimes all it takes is one drive or one play to separate JAGS from greats.

I'm not saying anything about this topic...I don;t really compare too much. I do think Dak took a HUGE step....to "leading the team to a win"...like Rodgers does....with the drive against the Pats.

Which our DEFENSE...gave him the opportunity to do. The TEAM wins...not a player.

Dak is what he is, an above average QB. You can win a Super Bowl with an above average QB, but you won't win it because of him.

Wins against Doggy Philly, Panthers, Giants, and a gimmie refs game vs the Bolts and Dak is elite again?
Pats game 21-7 became 14-10 the refs helping Gimpo Dakko out once again.
Now a real game coming up and guess what........he's taken out his Gimpo costume and might not play.
73 million.....yes 73 million this year....for a QB who from the OC to his teammates needs to be carried weekly!!!!!

Lots of post here compare Dak to Manning, Brady, and paint Dak as an MVP front-runner. I like to share a different perspective.

Rodgers missing his top 3 receivers, 3 O-line man including David Bakhtiari, and his defensive coordinator--went into Arizona and beat the hottest team in football. That game is the definition of a QB doing more with less. That is a true MVP caliber QB and that someone who should be pay 40 millions a year.

Is that Dak? Can Dak do what Rodgers just did? Has Dak ever won against the best team in the league while being significantly undermanned? If we didn't have Lamb, Cooper, Gallup, missing 3 O-lineman, no Dan Quinn, and a running game that not as good as Zeke/Pollard, would we have beaten the Cardinals in their home? Rodgers has only thrown one pick this year, while Dak threw a pick against the lowly Giants.

Dak does "enough" for this team to win games because our roster is stack. He has only beaten the worst team in the league (Lions, Falcons, Giants, Eagles), without a running game in his entire career. He has not even beaten a single average team when the running game is absent.

Dak is not an MVP front-runner but he is in the conversation. Put any other top 10 QB on this team and they would do the same or better; Dalton is a backup, not a starter. Dak is not a top 5 QB but he is a fringe top 10 QB who look better thanks to the talent on this team and our division. I do think we have the #1 overall rosters with few flaw while having a decent amount of depth. Depth that team like the Rams, Cardinals, Bucs, Packers, and others don't have.
you are right.
Dak won't go 0-4 in NFC Championship Games.

Ya missing "his" defensive coordinator tends to have a crippling effect on a QB

I don't know I think he could pass for 180 yards with the run game and defense playing like Green Bay's did on Thursday night. All the praise seems to be going to Rodgers but the truth is the Packers as a whole played a heck of a game in all 3 phases.

This!!! Please people, Rogers is not the same player that he was when he was dropping dimes on our boys in the 16 and 14 playoffs.

Aaron Rogers: 184 yards passing, 75.9 QBR, averaged 5 yards per pass (can you say "dink and dunk"?); his leading receiver was Aaron Jones his RB.
Pack Defense: 2 interceptions including one to win the game, fumble recovery.

OP did Dak flatten your tires or something?

Truth hurts. It's okay that Dak isn't an elite QB, with all the talent around him, he can win a ring not being elite and still be a legend.

I've never seen Dak waste three timeouts during a half so he has none in the final minutes forcing his team to take a delay of game penalty. Just saying.
