Video: "Dak does not suck". "Run game, Pass game too basic." -Chris Simms Unbuttoned

Sometime qb has a bad game. This game snow balled. 17-7 in 3rd quarter. We had a shot. They blitzed and he threw to his hot read which would usually have Gallup fighting for the ball. But because the play had everyone breaking at the same time the safety could see who needs help and get there in time. Dak didn’t have time to see the other side of field. Gallup knocked off his route and safety was coming over. Dak could have gotten off a better pass but play was doomed from the start.

Dak needs a quick slant on blitzes. Needs to get it out fast. But also really has to start using his feet.

He can’t utilize feet effectively. He’s slow and reads it too late.

Yep......route concept is lower tier. Throw the tablet away.

Not very big. But it does happen. However I was speaking for the entire team, including the defense.
Dak, will be Dak unfortunately. It depends which defense of the LAC shows up as well. The one they are capable of being, or the one that gives up a lot of point.
Through 5 games our offense is averaging less than 2 TDs per game.

I don’t think the Chargers defense has to show up at all for us to suck.

an 8 year "top 10" qb should be able to by now correct issues in the offense with the OCs if its not working for them unless they just want to drive the bus and go home.

It's mind blowing to me when I see the Cowboys defense continually get smoked by movement at the LOS, crossing routes and misdirection plays, yet the Cowboys offense deploys very little or none of that.

They went from not able to get over the Division Game hump to fallen into the abyss.

Simms watched film of the game thinks our offense is too basic and easy to defend. He doesn't think Dak sucks and thinks Dak had no chance vs Niners with our scheme.

:muttley:Ya never Dak's fault and we don't need nerdy Chris to tell us this!!!:muttley:
P.S. You better call CD and Parsons and let them know bud.

Wasn’t the offense vanilla under Garrett as well with Dallas’ opponents calling out plays before they were run? One less excuse for Dak’s inconsistent play.
The offense was vanilla and predictable under Linehan, Moore and now McCarthy. All of them have the same QB executing the offense but magically the offense is vanilla because somehow the OC's forgot how to put together a creative offense.

Here's the thing, I hear all of the critics, and they have a point.

But it's just hilarious how these same people in week 2 were all "Well.. I didn't think they could do it without Kellen, but Coach Mac is proving us wrong, excellent game strategy" and then 2 weeks later "Coach Mac's play calling is horrible, they miss Kellen Moore so much.."

Whatever makes the ratings I guess.

It completely changed from best to worse when Moore left. It's not even debatable. Your obsession to blame Dak for everything is flawed.
He's not Aaron Rodgers who could possible make a huge comeback. Or Mahomes who can extend plays.
And no one is.

Best based on what? Playing crappy teams and beating up on them? Look at the offense when they go up against teams that are good. That's the true indicator or just how good an offense is and sorry even the offense under Moore struggled to score against the better teams with the offense again being accused of being "predictable", "vanilla", "stale" - pick your pejorative. The same statement being repeated across multiple OC's of different backgrounds and age groups. The only common denominator being the guy executing the offense under center.

You have all the common talking points covered to place blame solely on the QB and shift away from my point, which is hilarious considering the offense was a powerhouse under Moore.

dak's just a superstar, it pisses me off when the other teams won't let him score. The dumbed-down playbook wasn't for dak it was for Mike, dak's a chess player. He's three moves ahead of everybody. Too bad, he throwing to guys on the next play and not on the one they are running. I wonder if dak will be in the ROH. I hope so. I hope Jerry puts him up there before he quits.
