Romo had Dez when he was faster and younger before his foot injury in 15. I think that really limited his physical ability. Witten was younger and more athletic. Owens is a hall of famer. Wth are you talking about lol. The staff has done no one any favors since parcells. Romo played above what he was supposed to as an undrafted guy. His body failed him, the team, and the fanbase.

Oh so now it is their age? You said in the previous post it was the coaching unable to scheme. Owens wasn't 32 when he played here? Witten at age 32-33-34 had pretty productive years With Romo and a season with 3 guys named Cassels, Weedan and Moore, he also had a productive 1st year with Dak, so please don't try and use age as an excuse

Can't really disagree, except the last sentence. Romo's body didn't fail him, it was obliterated by Jerry having no clue about the OL.

No it did. He missed 2 1/2 years of games. The O line was bad for like 3 out of 10 years.

Witten had a down year last year all the way around. Committing key holding penalties and not getting as open as usual. PFF graded him 23rd among tight ends last year with an abysmal receiving grade. 2017 he was not very good. Sorry. I like Witten but facts are facts and you can't let his previous years cloud your judgement.

Seems like all our recievers had a down year last season..all at the same time!, yet nobody around here wants to put any of that responsibility on the guy who touches the ball on every offensive snap.

The great thing about PFF is they grade the player on every play whether they get the ball or not. Or whether the QB sucks or not. Nice try tho.

And Romo received a lifetime of beatings in those 3 years. Not to mention the 09 playoff game vs the Vikes when the fact that our OL was aging quickly and becoming ineffective was made blatantly apparent. Except to Jerry.

Sure they do.

Aside from maybe 3 homers, I really haven't seen anyone claim Dak is faultless.

Did any of those lines give up 6 sacks in one game to one player though?

No because Romo would have been smart enough to see the problem and he would have set the protections better by giving the LT help all game long from a TE, even if the coaching staff wasn't doing it. Our left tackles that game were absolutely horrible but Dak didn't really do much to help himself either

Well we see differently, alot of people say Dak had a down year compared to his rookie season but i see more blaming the WR's than i do Dak and in my opinion he is as much at fault for what happenned last season as the WR group is

Ask Aikman about when Irvin went out with a suspension for 5 weeks.

Possibly. Lotsa fault to go around for last year.

I remeber Romo getting killed in a playoff game against the Vikings after Flozell Adams went down in the 1st Quarter and was out for the game. Romo was sacked 6 times in that game after Flozell went down
Romo got killed for 3 years running. That's generally about what it takes to ruin a QB's career. Ask Luck and Bulger and Carson Palmer and Drew Bledsoe!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A change in the Offensive scheme will help get Dak back to his rookie year where he spread the ball around. WR has to get open. Expect the opposing defenses to play our Offense the same as last year. Until we make them change. And that’s gonna take Linehan to change the scheme. We can still be run first but need these route trees and formations to change. We are predictable enough.

If Zeke plays out the entire season and the offensive line remains healthy, Dak will have a solid season. If the WRs show up, he will have a spectacular season. If the defense keeps our opponent's offense off the field, we will have a run deep into the playoffs. Unfortunately that's a lot of "ifs".
