As I said years ago, with this dude we'll go nowhere. The regular people (those living on this planet) just wait for his last years to fade out before they get invested again.

Looking at a chart through eight games showing the average time to throw vs. sack rates, Dak is getting rid of the ball quick and avoiding sacks--given his pass protection lately, he has little choice. The only part of this chart I don't like is that it shows an average, not a median, which doesn't fully take into account QB's that can extend plays. Caleb Williams has learned how to run around and throw throw the ball away in lieu of being sacked. QB's like Hurts and Jackson try to use their mobility and strength to not give up on plays and will take sacks, believing that they can get it done. Sometimes it works for them. Not so for mobile QB's that just suck (Fields) or very young mobile QB's that are still learning how to play the game (Maye, Dart, Ward).

Probably not a consistent stat worth using. Notice how most of the ones who have the most time are also the fastest scramblers. Chicken and the egg. Which one happens first?

The QB gets a TON of stats...good and bad...all mostly because of the rest of the team.


The safety doesn't get wins and losses but QBs surely do. Just the way it is.
