Dak Furious

It looked that way at first blush but pull up the replays again. The defender behind Pickens read it all the way and got his hand in there to break it up. The other defender who also read it all the way closed in and snagged the ball.

The Lions made it a point to take those slants away. Pass should never have been thrown.

The other int was very similar although in that case Pickens could have fought a lot harder to at least not allow the int. Both passes were risky and ill advised.
Severity points here:

1. The INT wasnt on Dak. He put the ball in the hands of Pickens. Dak also has no way of knowing what the defender knows or doesn’t know

2. CBs are always sitting on slants, it is the job of the WR to sell the route and then break in, make the route ‘square’ not rounded and wall off the defender. Pickens does none of those things. He ran a lazy route and played a terrible game

Of course that is JMO

Well, good. Maybe Dak should throw a fit every game until Jerry fires Schotty. That's the only way we aren't going to be taking "a shot with Schotty" for five years.
There is no reason to fire him.

Wasn't Dak the guy who basically said we would curb-stomp the Lions?
That Dak?
It was 'light them up,' but that is essentially the same thing. It is just another example for why players should avoid talking too much. Anyone can say whatever they want, but everyone else will not suddenly develop spontaneous amnesia after something is said. His comment was a misevaluation of both teams' capabilities in a head-to-head matchup.

You know im no Dak apologist but that pick was on Pickens IMO
Posted a video but it was taken down, because the Twitter post had a bad word.

Dak was staring down Pickens the whole way. dB breaks to the ball and rear view angle shows him getting his hand on it.

I agree....just because it coulda/woulda/shoulda been caught....doesn't make it a good decision to throw it.

I STILL think Dak can get "locked in". Not sure if he's a bit overconfident in his throws, or he doesn't wanna do something else with it.

It was bang bang
Dak stared him down i will give you that but Pickens also has to do a better job with his route and shielding the ball

That was such an awful decision, as was kicking the FG from the Lions 11 late. I'm glad Dak gets it. I wish Schotty did.
Dak knows more than anyone that he can not rely on the Defense.

Hopefully this changes this off season.

No, he never said that.
He did say something close to that, he was asked can I quote you and DAK said sure , I think putting up 30 points is pretty freaking good actually. Especially with a team that was beat up like us. But you get it, he’s always gonna be the blame even if he was injured. It was his fault.

The logic that Schottenheimer followed there was sound.

Team was down by two scores at that point and kicking the field goal would bring them within one score.

In fact, that decision helped the Cowboys get within 3 points in the 4th quarter.

Every decision leading up to that point is subjective of course, but they went from 3 points down in the 4th quarter to losing by 14 points.

You cannot expect your offense to score 45 points very often to win games where the other team scores 44 points.

There of course is plenty of blame to go around from the coaches to the players and even the referees, but in the end it comes down to the same thing it has most of the season .. bad defense.
I agree with this, but football is a game of emotions....go for it and go on for the TD, could have changed the entire flow of the game......however, don't convert and the game could have been over, right there. That's why I loved coaching, emotions and momentum can change a coach's decision from one game to the next. Could be the exact same time, down and distance, score etc.....the feel of the game and the adrenaline is intoxicating....damn, I need a cigarette! Lol
