Dak has been the QB for over 33% of our Super Bowl drought

That’s a relevant stat. This is his 11th season so that stat is slowly increasing and will be almost 35% soon. Defend Dak. Hate Dak. Truth is over 33% of our failures over the last three decades is tied to Dak.

Discuss.
So dumb.
Does a coach have great responsibility and accountability? Yes
Does a QB have great responsibility and accountability? Yes

But a coach doesn’t win a championship. A QB doesn’t win a championship.

Look up all the great non QBs who have played for the Cowboys over the years. Look up every Hall of Fame player. When you look up those great players, do any of them have a W-L record beside their names? No

The only men who have W-L record beside their names in a program, magazine, book, or online is the QB and the coach. So stupid. Even QBs who are in the Hall of Fame must endure the indignity of noting that they never won a SB. Why not the OT, the WR, the CB or DE?

No, that percentage is not at all relevant to anyone who knows football. Try listing all the historically elite, HOF QBs who carried average teams to SB titles. We will wait.

The Jones family had been here for 100% of it. I’ll continue to blame them. But do you.

I'm guessing in his mind he wants to get to half a BILLION dollars worth of pointless stats.

Blame whoever you want but the Super Bowl drought is going to get one more year added on with this defense. Love him or hate him, one cannot deny that when he has been healthy Dak has led the best offense in the NFL more often than not. Different head coaches, different OCs, different WRs different RBs and different O-lines.. One thing remains consistent.. if Dak Prescott is healthy the Dallas Cowboys offense will be among the league's best. Period. The fact that the Cowboys have not been able to capitalize on that falls on people not named Dak Prescott. Mostly on whoever is in charge of building the defense. Dude aint perfect.. but I'm glad we have him.. and there is not a huge list of QBs playing I would trade him for.

We are not going to win a SB with Dak but we aren't winning any SB as long as Jerry is in charge. It is what it is.

You may be right but I have more faith that Dak could go on a 3 game heater to get us to the Super Bowl than I do Jerry building a Super Bowl "team." I think if this team can get to the playoffs healthy and have at least one home playoff game the offense could do enough damage to get us to the Dance. We just saw them put up 31 and 34 against what I think will be two of the better defenses in the league when it's all said and done. That gives me reason to believe they could do it in a couple of playoff games. The question is can the defense improve enough to make it matter...

Also Matthew Stafford. Could not win in Detroit with the way that team was constructed at the time. Goes to LA and gets his ring.
Yep another good example. Situations matter and can shape a career. Mahomes was fortunate to go play for one of the best offensive minds in Reid the game has seen.

On one hand, there is the old saying not seeing the forest for the trees. On the other hand, there is not spotting Jerry Jones crouching down behind Quincy Carter, Anthony Wright, Ryan Leaf, Clint Stoerner, Chad Hutchinson, Vinny Testaverde, Drew Henson, Drew Bledsoe, Brad Johnson, Jon Kitna, Stephen McGee, Kyle Orton, Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassel, Kellen Moore, Andy Dalton, Ben DiNucci, Garrett Gilbert, Cooper Rush, Trey Lance, Tony Romo, and deciding to point at Dak Prescott.

Kinda makes one wonder about this drought accusation after reading this: link

When Romo first took over the Cowboys' roster was loaded. Then the talent around him slowly eroded to the point that by 2011, he was carrying the team.
I think there was still talent in place, but defense wasstarying to age out talent.
