Some of that is true, but as far as him being "the guy", that is far from proven. Agree that he is not the problem.

I mean…what kind of year would make him “the guy”? Has he not met expectations this year knowing we’re more of a running team and he’s the only WR on our roster that other teams have to worry about?

It's not about what kind of year. It's about beating doubles and such, performing in the clutch, not dropping passes. Stuff like that.

Dak has made a career of having a solid TD/INT ratio.

The only thing different this year is he came back from an injury with some rust and he’s playing with arguably the worst WR corp he’s ever had outside of the year they traded for Cooper.

I agree there have been some throws that he’d like back but we shouldn’t be surprised that he’s having to force throws when we have 1 WR that can consistently get open.

Ok. We’ll he’s gone on record within the first few weeks of the season talking about how frequently he’s seeing doubles now and he’s still producing and the drops have gone down.

So as long as he continues to do what he’s doing I think he’s checking your boxes.

I just don't anoint early. There's no reason to.

Can't agree. Gallup is adept at creating separation, which he'd already shown before his injury.

You must mean inept…almost every ball that has gone his way this year after the injury he’s had a DB in his pocket.

Yes - he was good at separating pre injury. Agree on that.

I don’t either - but I’m seeing a guy that going to rack up 3K yards in his first 3 years which is stupid good.

I’m also watching him turn into a one - again as he paces for a high quality production year.

So here’s Gallups separation metrics:

- Average separation yards per target (97th in NFL)
- Win percentage against man coverage 25% (91st in the NFL)

What is Gallup’s catch radius compared to the league average? Any nerdy analytical metrics on that?

It’s great. But that’s a terrible way to be efficient in the passing game if you want to consistently
move the chains on higher percentage throws.

Nerdy analytical metrics lol…nice.

Taylor Heinecke beat the Eagles.

Dak will be okay and and so will the Cowboys so long as they stop the self inflicted wounds. We've seen how good this team can be already.

This is the key. Stop turning the ball over. Stop making stupid penalties that end drives, and stop allow 8 yard runs on 1st and 2nd downs.

Elite qbs can throw guys open and regularly can throw into tight windows, the rest of the pack need receivers and oc’s that can create or scheme separation. Letting Cooper go has prevented Lamb and Gallup from getting separation consistently. Look at the difference in Hurts this season after the acquisition of Brown.

Dak is in his prime throwing a pick a game, there is no evolving happening. Dak is gonna sling the rock and mistakes come with that. Take the good with the bad, and hope it's enough to win.

He has got to realize it’s a team game and it’s not all on him. It’s almost as he is forcing balls to rack up stats. Zeke is as good as I have seen him in years and pollard is a star. Lean on the run game and let them carry us. We don’t need all these force throws to win. We need him to stop turning the ball over and let the team rally around him. Oh and Kellen Moore needs to stop pulling the fullback in short yardage.

He racked up a lot of stats without throwing a bunch of INT’s prior to this season. He put up 4900 yards in 2019 with 11 INT’s. He has 9 INT’s in 8 games this season. He’s not seeing the field very clearly and is forcing throws. His receivers have dropped some balls and haven’t been very dependable which is part of the problem. His completion percentage has dipped. Dak has become inconsistent which is concerning.

You should be concerned, because it's not Dak that beats the Eagles. Never has been. It's the Cowboys that beat the Eagles because they are usually the better team. When they're not, we lose. We lose with Dak.

We got our butts kicked in 2017, and our butts kicked in 2019 with Dak. Dak is not going to be the deciding factor in a win or loss against the Eagles this year. He's not the QB that can bridge the gap between us and a better team. As long as Dak doesn't crap the bed and turn the ball over, and our D stops their run, we can win.
Yeah i'm not concerned. Like I said, Dak has a history of beating them and I saw Cooper Rush have a 47% completion rate and throw 3 interceptions and the score was 17 to 20 entering the 4th quarter in Philly. Nobody is scared of Philly.

This is true but there’s only like 3 elite QBs. A lot of the top teams with top QBs have much more talent to throw to. Here’s some of your NFC playoff contenders 1/2 punch at WR.

Eagles: Brown and Smith
Bucs: Evans and Godwin
49ers: Deebo and Aiyuk
Vikings: JJ and Thielen
Hawks: DK and Lockett

I’d comfortably say all of these teams have a better WR duo than we do.
