I don't like this at all.

Sends the wrong message to the current WRs.

If I were Gallup, I'd be irked.
yeah that is what I thought when I read title.
it insinuates what they have now isnt good enough.

This is just another example of how players , coaches, and GMs should just keep their mouth shut.
and odell is coming off knee injury, hasnt played, and probably isnt in shape.
your just getting a name. maybe next season he would be ready

You seem awful triggered because of one guy's name. Seek some counseling or find someone to talk to about your feelings.
Whatever grandpa. Looks like you're triggered just because I mentioned Romo. Take your Metamucil. Sounds like you're constipated early this morning.

It's mental. Dak doesn't reach out to OBJ, and he gets attacked. He contacts Obj, and he's attacked. This is why we can't have nice things as Cowboys fans.

I'm not talking about the team recruiting him.

I"m talking about Dak "reaching out" because it signals to his teammates that they aren't good enough to win.

It's cool if the team does it, the FO is the one who signs the checks. But Dak "reaching out" says that not only does he not believe he can do it with his current players, it also says he doubts his own ability to get it done with the current players.

Then I feel sorry for this team if players are that weak minded and insecure. Players on this team want to win and see another weapon that can help this team achieve their goals. Dak reaching out says nothing about other players on this team

You're missing the point, I see.

Right over your head.

This one kind of gives me a chuckle too. Like, all the old, angry Cowboys fans have rubbed off on the generation of fans who never witnessed a Super Bowl.

And they're harping on an 80-year-old man who is actually doing a damn good job for his age, and trolling him like it will somehow influence him to do what they want. Because, you know, we have social media nowadays.

I know better than anyone that the bully pulpit is available to anyone who knows how to send the right message. But I also know how futile the attempts to convince Jerry to sell the Cowboys to appease them.

It's hypocritical, because they harp on Jerry's ego. But then, their egos tell them that what they say about Jerry actually matters. I mean, I'm laughing at that right now even.

Not at all. I think you are to be fair.

Gallup has endorsed bringing OBJ here. The teams ultimate goal is to win a SB. OBJ helps them do that. I dont really see your point other than being worried about the players feelings lol. Carry on

That's good way to alienate the receivers who are already here

Dude if there is anything great players love almost as much as being around hot chicks is being around other great players. Every receiver on the Cowboys will be happy to have OBJ in their room. He's a great player and by all accounts a pretty fun guy.. albeit a bit of a goofball.. But every team needs a few goofballs to keep things loose in those inevitable dark times.

This team is coming off like a bunch of HS girls trying to get a prom date and it's going to be a bad look and upset a lot of fans if he signs elsewhere. Screw this courting BS. If it works out I'm all for it, but he doesn't want to come here, screw him. Stop acting like he is this great player that is going to guarantee us something.

Just wondering if OBJ will be in the stadium for this game.

His dad is a Dallas native.. with that in mind I'd be shocked if OBJ (and his parents) aren't in Jerry's box or one adjacent to it for the game.

I could see him bouncing from Jerry box to John Mara box. lol I should be interesting if they show him at the game on the big screen and what kind of reaction the crowd will have. I would think mixed with some boo and some cheering

I would think most of the fan reaction would be positive. I mean this fan base is on a 27 year hiatus from championship football. It has no room to be thumbing its nose at great players. We know OBJ had issues with Baker Mayfield.. mostly because Mayfield sucks.. Even the biggest Dak haters would have to concede that Dak is a light years better as a leader and teammate than Mayfield and several notches up as a passer. Other than that episode his only real issues have been some silly sideline antics.. Which frankly the Cowboys should have no problem dealing with. Oh and there was the Miami boat trip during the 2016 playoffs.. That was just youthful stupidity. We have not seen any repeats of that in the ensuing years.

Did CeeDee, or any of the other receivers, "reach out" to OBJ?
If not why not?

I would hope if he is there the reaction would be positive but as we see here you have mixed feeling. Myself I would have no issue with Cowboys adding OBJ to the mix, I don't see him as some kind of savior but a guy who has great abilities to help improve this team down the stretch. Of course contract is key
