Did CeeDee, or any of the other receivers, "reach out" to OBJ?
If not why not?

None of the receivers on this team are considered team leaders is why not. That's just the harsh truth of it. They've all made it known that they would welcome him with open arms. That's enough for me.

As long as Dakota is willing to restructure his 49 million dollar cap burden , next year, to accommodate getting any good players, I’m fine with it

having someone with successful playoff and SB experience is always a plus

the FO will decide if he’s worth the money

Shouldn't he award Stephen a "special" discount for accommodating him?
It's not really like he's any shining phenomenon, nowadays! :muttley:

Just kidding, actually . . . if the majority of the team wants him, let it be so!

The interest in Beckham has also permeated the team's locker room, with both Ezekiel Elliott and Micah Parsons campaigning for the veteran wideout to be added to the roster, and you can count CeeDee Lamb to the growing list of players on the campaign trail.

"My reaction? Oh that's my boy," said Lamb. "I'm a fan of Odell - for sure. I feel like, 'Why wouldn't you wanna add more firepower to this [#Cowboys] offense?'"

So CeeDee's "why wouldn't we?" response to the question about whether they would want OBJ must have been said when he was outside the room.
Dont bother. I am noticing the people who are speaking about the players feelings regarding this seem to not understand how locker rooms work. Its pretty obvious.

Perhaps I was wrong about the cowboys receiving corps.
If they've contacted OBJ to invite him to sign with Dallas, they are not what I thought.

I didn't read the entire thread. Has it been confirmed that OBJ received the message?

I hope he didn't pick up the wrong phone........

I don't like this at all.

Sends the wrong message to the current WRs.

If I were Gallup, I'd be irked.

I get what you're saying but from a different perspective, if you have a chance to add talent at any position, I think you should.

If there was a pass rusher available or corner, I would say the same thing even having Parsons and Diggs. If you can add talent to you're roster I don't think it should be seen as a personal slight or dig at what you have.

I'm not even saying OBJ is better then Gallup or Lamb. I just think you can never have too many good players.

Exactly, anytime you have the chance to add to your team and improve it, it would be foolish not to try. I don't know if OBJ will sign or not I think it will come down to asking price but Cowboys have a chance to add to this offense as they head down the stretch.

So, if OBJ becomes a Cowboy, do they now change their identity again and become a passing team?
As dysfunctional as the cowboys can be, they finally are getting some sort of an identity, a run first, pass when you have to and let the defense do their thing. If that's the team they currently are, that don't need OBJ, and maybe ruin whatever chemistry this team have.

Gonna be great watching Dak force the ball to a gimpy OBJ after all this.

Just what our offense needs.

Lol, if they don't sign him they are cheap, if they do sign him they over payed. We see it here 24/7 whatever they do, they are wrong. They are just terrible at management even though they have built this very good team and are set up to be good in the future.

Because everybody can do it better though their profession is the fry guy at McD’s. SMDH!

This right here.. If the 90's 49ers had released Jerry Rice does anybody here think the players on those 90's Cowboys teams would have batted an eye at the prospect of signing him here? Guys love winning above all else. At least true competitors do. That's why Zeke isn't pouting while Pollard shines and Pollard doesn't pout when Zeke shines. People seem to think all superstar receivers are like T.O. .. who was frequently seen pouting during wins if he wasn't getting the ball. I'm sure there have been others but he is really the ONLY superstar player I can ever recall seeing do that. Which might explain that despite being one of the best to ever lace 'em up, he never tasted championship champagne and was jettisoned by like 5-6 teams despite high (at some times phenomenal) production.

One thing we have not seen a lot of in his time in Dallas is him forcing the ball to anybody. Hell most of us WANTED him to force it to Dez and Coop more but Dak has generally refused to put the ball in harm's way. That's how you keep a top 5 all time career INT percentage.

Didn't hear that. But CeeDee doesn't have to worry about his job. What do Gallup, Brown, etc. think? Hey, its not just me making this up Romo and Nantz asked the same question Sunday. Who isn't good enough that they want OBJ so bad?

If you have the opportunity to improve ANY position on a competitive team, you do it or you're a moron. This isn't about feelings and other silly made up drama. This is a job, a business and winning is all that matters when you have a good tea.
Anyone complaining better not mention us not getting to the Super Bowl or other postseason success.
