We could barely win a game when Dak was out and when he came in we were the #1 offense in the league, but somehow now he is 'mediocre' and middle of the pack. I wonder what fantasy land quarterback we could have gotten that would have changed things around. People love Herbert, but has he even made the playoffs? Wentz was the 'it guy' that we should have gotten until he almost fell out of the league. Derek Carr was the guy lusted after until he never did much. Aaron Rodgers scored less than Dak did against the 49ers but he gets an excuse of 'it was tooo coollldd'. Aaron Rodgers just got a 50 million dollar a year contract as well, so I'd love to know how we would sign him and not be cap strapped.
We could have did something when we had Dak for under a milli a year, but the FO decided it wanted to be frugal. This is the same FO that just traded away our no. 1 receiver for a 5th rounder. We can keep blaming everything else but the FO because their priority isn't winning. With how McCarthy was evaluated for the job, does anyone believe that was a thorough process for selecting a winning coach or was it more 'buddyism' from the Jones boys?
