I will never figure out where Dak got the feeling he deserves elite $$$$$, that's crazy. He is a middle of packer so ya pay him middle of the pack. Dak should have never asked for the $$$$ he did that was simply greedy.

I'll say it again, a single dude needs 40 mill a year, hell no that's ridiculous. All that endorsement $$$ AND 40 mill.......yep, greedy~~~

Dead serious.....I would have "so what do ya think is fair Jerry".....and gone with his amount.
the second dumbest post of the year...

somebody is offering you $1M to do exactly what you are doing today, but you are going to say,nah I don't deserve it, just payme $100K. its not Greed. its called being smart. you just sound jealous.

Getting stafford and letting Dak walk would have been best . Would love. To get Kyler Murray or Rodgers to the cowboys , but Jerry and Stephen also gave Dak the no trade option. Crazy .
Stafford wasn't available before we made the trade, neither was the team ready to have stafford leading it anywhere.

Rodgers was never available....this ain't Yahoo fantasy football.

Murray hasn't done squat. wait at least until he wins a playoff before annointing him. he is just grass that's greener on the otherside, until you get there......

There is no way that Brady, Rodgers, or Wilson would play for a monkey show that we have in Dallas. Those guys have tasted what victory is and won championships. Stafford would still be winless in the post season had he come here. You still have a shot with Watson. Good luck on that. I'm not going to even touch the nonsense in the beginning of the post.
This. a 1000 times. a lot of fans on this board mistake NFL with Yahoo fanstay football

Well...not sure about blaming Dak for ruining this team. We could probably blamed whoever benched Romo. There's a few reasons to disagree with me about that...we'll just have to disagree then. Nothing changes anybody's mind at this point.

Regarding Dak.....NFL Network just replayed 2021 Bucs/Cowboys game. I was amazed at the difference in the way Brady delivered the ball and the way Dak did. In what has been though as Dak's best game of the year.

Brady typically delivered the ball to the receiver in stride, in front with the receiver's momentum. Maximum yield.

Dak typically delivered the ball so the receiver had to stop, slow, or reach down or behind. I tried to let go of my immense, consuming Dak hatred and view objectively....but it's something I couldn't help but notice time after time.

Yes...they ended up being completed passes...he had good stats....but I believe that "lack" of accuracy hurts our game.

Some people say it's unfair to compare to the GOAT. That's how I roll.

yep, the only bad thing is the guess who set on the left side of the 50 he won't be able to see them. lol and his friends bring any kids, they better not rush him because he would knock over the bbq grill from fear.
"Hey Dak, pass me the pickles."

"Ok Fam, here ya go...."

CRASH..... as jar of pickles flies over fence and through neighbor's window...

I group them together because they are both bums and losers.
Well...you'd be wrong then. As I just said...there's nothiung that will change anyone's mind by now....but I'll post this yet again:

https://bleacherreport.com/articles...-not-overrated-and-may-actually-be-underrated

  1. Well how does a 38-17 record sound? A career winning percentage of 69 percent puts him approximately 11 wins per regular season—good enough for a playoff every year in the NFC.

The winning percentage of 69 also puts Tony Romo ahead of legends like John Elway, Dan Marino, Johnny Unitas, Steve Young and Kurt Warner. It is also better than current stars Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees and better than any quarterback to have begun his career since Romo took over in Dallas.
With a career completion percentage of 64, Tony Romo currently ranks seventh all time in that category.,,,although he isn’t considered by many to be one of the league’s most accurate passers, this statistic tells us that he is not only one of the best currently playing; but one of the best ever.

  1. When I tell someone that Tony Romo is 7th all-time in completion percentage, their immediate response is usually, “Well that’s because he dumps the ball off all the time.”

    False.

Romo’s yards per pass attempt shows us that not only does Romo pass the ball down the field often, he actually does it better than almost anyone in league history.

With 8.1 yards per attempt, Tony Romo currently ranks fourth all time.

  1. One of the most popular criticisms of Tony Romo is that he “throws too many interceptions” and that you need to “take the bad with the good” if he’s your quarterback.

Quite frankly, almost every team in the league would love to have the touchdown and interception percentages that Romo possesses.

With only 3.0 percent of his passes being intercepted, Romo is tied with first ballot Hall of Famers Dan Marino and Troy Aikman—neither of whom would be criticized for throwing “too many interceptions.”

That number is also better than John Elway, Kurt Warner, Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, Warren Moon, Jim Kelly, and Johnny Unitas—
Better yet is Romo’s touchdown percentage. With an unbelievable 5.7 percent of his passes going for touchdowns, Tony Romo is the best of any active quarterback in that category.

  1. Romo’s current career passer rating stands at an impressive 95.4. This number puts him fifth all time and better than every Hall of Fame quarterback in league history other than Steve Young’s 96.8.

By comparison, here are some of the quarterback ratings of a few of the league’s most legendary quarterbacks:

    Tom Brady—93.5

    Troy Aikman—81.6

    Warren Moon—80.9

    John Elway—79.9

    Johnny Unitas—78.2

    Terry Bradshaw—70.9
(Playoff loss against the Giants): "The hate Romo received for this game was absolutely disgusting. "

CHOKER? HARDLY!

  1. 2010 4th Quarter Statistics

    43/68, 529 yards, 3 TD, 3 INT, 83.5 QB Rating

    2009 4th Quarter Statistics

    100/157, 1,316 yards, 8 TD, 2 INT, 101.8 QB Rating

    2008 4th Quarter Statistics

    69/109, 946 yards, 9 TD, 1 INT, 114.7 QB Rating

    2007 4th Quarter Statistics

    73/120, 1,072 yards, 10 TD, 7 INT, 93.5 QB Rating

    2006 4th Quarter Statistics

    68/100, 949 yards, 4 TD, 4 INT, 95.0 QB Rating

    Total 4th Quarter Statistics

    353/554, 4812 yards, 34 TD, 17 INT, 99.0 QB Rating

Not only are these numbers great, but they are actually better than the already excellent numbers Romo puts up throughout the rest of the game.

If this isn't enough to convince people that Tony Romo was a good QB...the...people...are idiots.

Corrections its 20 years as Dak took over 6 years ago and we are 26 years in hunger land.
6 years of Dak 1 playoff win....not exactly an elite-level performance from our fearless leader!

Think about all that we’ve given up for this teams buy in with him

-cap hell for the next decade

-losing out on good players and free agents

-he’s about to get his second coach fired next year

-the 2016 decision to go with him over Romo leading to a first round exit

-squandering the best cowboys team in 20 years with another first round exit due to poor qb play

-cutting or trading players who don’t get along with Dak or we just can’t simply afford them anymore

Think about the following qb option we had the last 2 years

1. Tom Brady
2. Aaron Rodgers
3. Russell Wilson
4. Dashaun Watson
5. Matt Stafford

And Dak makes more money than all of them. I know this isn’t all predicated on Dak but it’s kind of hard not to feel that we’ve been cheated out of something since we signed him to this ridiculous deal
No, he hasn't ruined this team. He and his agent took advantage of one of the poorest managed teams from the cap perspective just like other players on the team did. The two incompetents that run the team kept driving his value up with their mouths.

Those QB's were not viable options. Don't know if Brady would have any interest in this team, he was after a ring and to show Belichick and Kraft they made a mistake. Rodgers was not going anywhere, least of all to the Cowboys. The Wilson trade would have crippled a team that drafts after the 1st round inconsistently. Watson's future was in doubt and with the off season issues that have popped up, bringing him in would be a major problem. Stafford was an option but what he accomplished was about that team, not himself. The Rams are a better team in every regard.

Prescott isn't ruining anything, he is playing the best he can because he doesn't know another way. This is not the fault of the player.

I'm hardly the biggest Dak fan but the team wasn't really doing any better before he came. Not sure he can be blamed for anything. He is what he is and the team put themselves in a position where they had to pay him or lose him. They made their choice so we live it until they decide its time to move on.

So Dak is signed for 4 more years and he’s ruined the team for a decade? Seems math isn’t the OPs strong suit.

You’ve restructured him so many times already that there’s a mountain of dead cap at the end of his contract. You’ll have to extend him after next season at the earliest to spread it out better
