Actually Romo WAS known for almost never…ever…stringing together even 2 bad games in a row..
He always bounced back.

The owner of the Cowboys worst multi-game stretch of QB play in franchise history belongs to Dak in 2017.

Hes much better now though, and I doubt he’d ever have a 3 game stretch kike that again.

Really, given our line, RBs, WRs and OC…..Im not sure any currently starting QB (or offense as a whole) could have a 3 game stretch that bad.
andy dalton a veteran did.

Any quarterback that isn’t elite doesn’t even take this team 2-2. Put Josh Allen or Herbert under center and they throw bone-headed interceptions that lose us the chargers and eagles game.

No….not with this oline, RBs and WRs.
Not 3 games striaght. Not even close
There are only 5 quarterbacks that could throw 30 touchdowns behind this offensive scheme This is a team that has no WR with speed over the top and relies on short well timed reads and accurate deep throws.

It only works because of Dak and Romo. You saw Stafford in the same type of Scott L derived offense and he couldn’t throw for 25 touchdowns an average season* with megatron

Dak’s on pace for 50

there is a reason Dak is a 90 on madden 10 points higher than herbert and 3 more than josh allen.

The real world outside of hyper critical fans know Dak is better he’s rated this high with a career altering injury but i guess you know more than the MADDEN team right!

So you are choosing Madden ratings now to determine who is a better QB? Wow…

I would think you’d actually go by how defenses, including ours, try to defend Herbert versus how they do Dak….

Amari runs a 4.4, faster than TOs top speed. He has elite speed. Both Gallup and Lamb run 4.5s. Amari is also one of the best route runners in the league. Everybody knows our WRs can win their one on one matchups, which happens all th time.

Stafford three over 41 TDs and over 5000 yards in 2011 with Linehan. Detroit had horrible OLs and run games, complete trash. He even got sacked 45 times that year, which was his best year under Linehan who left around 2 years later.

First Madden ratings, then these ridiculously asinine comparisons not in anyway grounded in reality..

2007 was his first full year starting.
What the hell are you talking about?

2009. I meant 2009. But 2007 was NOT his first year in the league, boss. Just because he wasn’t good enough to start doesn’t mean the years prior don’t count. 07 was his fourth year in the league.

If you want to get technical you could use 2014 in your weak argument and he still wasn’t as good as Dak is now…and that’s Romo’s best year. That’s the point of the thread. And that’s what the hell I’m talking about.

Also, Romo never had this much speed on his teams. Dez May have been clocked at 4.52. Dak couldn’t hit the broad side of the barn with a WR that rarely won his matchups as far as break away speed are concerned.

Anybody saying the talent on this offense as far as WRs is similar to 2014 is a joke and has no clue what they are talking about.

Further, we didn’t use play action like we do now. We were a traditional 5-7 step drop offense. That’s pretty been eliminated for Dak, because he sucks at it. People acting like this is the same passing offense as 2014 have no idea what they are talking about period. Dak wouldn’t be able to run the 2014 offense at all from that point alone.

Now you are trying to say Dallas does not have enough weapons?
:lmao:
What world are in? We are loaded!

Dak IS playing his butt off.

Your comments are silly though. Only 5 QBs could get 30 TDs?
There are 25+ QBs that could throw 30 TDs (which is not much) with all these offensive weapons and Moore calling plays....especially with 17 games.

And Dak is not on pace for 50. He's currently on pace to throw for 42.5....nowhere near 50....which is fine....even with 17 games.

All I care about is that we win.

No need to make stuff up.

Dak is rockin' and rollin' on his own

I look forward to the guy looking down with his hands covering his eyes emoji or the chuckling dawg emoji for my comments.

Dak is playing better than Romo. If Troy were playing in today's NFL Dak would beat him two out of three times. And the finally Dak would be higher rated and a better QB then Stauback . Yes I said it and Stauback who is a long time favorites.

I've been thinking about this since the beginning of the season but it seemed sacrilegious certainly against Stauback the comeback kid.

These are different times cause the rules favour the QB and offense yada yada, no Dak is the best Cowboy's QB:facepalm::muttley::angry:

Recency bias, when did Romo have a cb get him 4 picks in 4 games? Dak has gotten better every year until his injury, still think he was playing a bit better last year, but still very good. Amari Cooper is a more complete receiver than Dez ever was. Gallup and Lamb, both better no 2/3 receivers for most of Romo's tenure, sure Miles in his prime.

H-m-m, if it were up to me as a judge, I'll be really tempted to proclaim it a tie between the three of them! Gotta avoid a riot, here!

But then I thought about "Bullet" Bob Hayes, Lance Alworth, Drew Pearson and Golden Richards, tight ends Mike Ditka, Billy Joe Dupree. The best offensive line in the game.

or
Michael Irvin, WR
Jay Novacek

@jay94
Emmitt Smith, RB carried the offense
Deion Sanders, WR/CB [the shut down CB;

I disagree. Love Dak but he isn't no Staubach. In today's NFL he would break records

Staubach has always been my #1 favorite Cowboys player of all time...

But no way would he be better than Dak if they both were 27 years old, in their prime and competing on the field. Dak is a bigger, stronger and more accurate version of Roger Staubach. He just is.

Roger Staubach:

Dak Prescott:

Both players are so much alike, overall, in their play.
