We were 8-8 last season with Dak, and this season he only won a single game that was gifted to him by Atlanta. I don't know if anyone said they were better. I believe the overwhelming sentiment was that Prescott isn't worth what he was offered or demanded, and he certainly would not be as productive when the Cowboys couldn't afford to pay all of the talent around him. It would be interesting to see Dalton play with a healthy offensive line. I agree Prescott would play better with a depleted line because of his mobility, but they still wouldn't get anywhere with this line and this defense.

Dak is lucky because this OL is getting worse and his stock is rising with every game he misses. He’s probably earned a $40+ million contract. I just don’t know if we should be the team to give it to him. We’re so bad that it’s gonna take a few years off top 5 picks (and a complete overhaul of the staff) to be decent again. Why pay Dak all that money while we continue to lose? Let Dak go to a good team and try to win a Super Bowl.

He had Dallas at 1-3 entering the Giants game so in spite of his passing Dallas still sucked so not sure what your thread proves.

Did Dak's play help the team win? No.

Is the defense horrible? Yes

Is the OL a joke? Yes

I know that some want to blame the OLine for Dalton's poor play. But the Cowboys have had injuries on the OLine all season long and even with a struggling OLine many Dak critics would still say that it's all on Dak to overcome the OLine and other players mistakes or bad play no matter what.

Some thought that Dalton would be running Dak out of Dallas by playing very well and hoped that Dalton's play would be the end of Dak's career with the Cowboys. Doesn't seem like it's going to happen now. Not that Dalton was guaranteed to keep the job over Dak if he had played well, but this get rids of any "QB controversy" going ahead for the Cowboys.
