Dak is 9th-best QB in NFL per coaches, scouts and execs

With all that said about these guys.... none of them won Superbowls and all of that other stuff in 6 years of playing and this is my point.

You're explaining how special they were and rightfully so. But how can you say it's time to get rid of Dak after 6 full healthy seasons of playing because he didn't do this or that....

But those other very good quarterbacks didn't do it either within the SAME EXACT time frame..... You didn't say they should be released or traded or the time is up for them did you?

Do you see the the hypocrisy dripping off your statement?

This is not a good look for YOU.

As a matter of fact, your argument made you look worse, and here's why.

Those quarterbacks are great quarterbacks.... yet they didn't go to championship games and Superbowls within their first 6 seasons. You made excuses for them. But when Dak didn't do it within the same time frame, you claim its time for him to go.....

Again.... do you see the hypocrisy??
It's simple. He is not special. He gets special treatment. And has a special team around him. But his play is not special. His play in the last game was atrocious.

No facts except ya know, results on the field. I know that doesn’t carry as much weight to folks like you. Obscure polls based off subjectivity outweighs the real stuff.
yes, results on the field matter. is results offensive output? or is it wins? and is the QB solely responsible for the wins? btw, what you said before applies to 29 out of 32 starting QBs in the league.

How often do special quarterbacks come along?

You don't have to be special or elite to win a Superbowl and history has shown us that.

Look how special Jim Kelly and Dan Marino was. They never won when it counted. You consider Aaron Rodgers special/elite, correct? I do too, but guess what... he has the same amount of Superbowl success as Trent Dilpher and Nick Foles.

So I guess Dilpher and Foles are special too....

This is a team game. No quarterback in history has, or ever will be able to single handedly win anything BY HIMSELF.

Like I said before, all those great and "special" quarterbacks you've named had the same Superbowl appearances and ring counts in 6 years as Dak.... that would be a big fat zero!!

And if I recall, aren't great quarterbacks supposed to elevate the talent around them? Well if they are, why haven't they won in their first 6 seasons of playing and most importantly, why do you provide these other "special" quarterbacks with so many excuses? They're special, so they should be held even more accountable, correct?

he is not special. I don't disagree. how is he getting special treatment any different than any other QB who is not elite?
so who are the special QBs in the league? who doesn't require special team around them?

You think we have a special team, that's a special thought.

I ask you who you trust and you keep telling me why you don't trust anyone. I suppose that is the answer in itself.
Only an idiot would trust anyone in the media, especially blindly.

I am not an idiot.

So, yes, it is a very clear answer. Stop being obtuse.

I trust God, some of my family, and some friends. And that is not blindly, or without limits (save God with regard to limits).

His attributes is he's tall and has a big arm. Plenty of those types of Qbs crashed out in the NFL. Garret Jr is gonna make him regress.
We shall see. Should be some insights coming as to what Moore is or isn't responsible for now that he's in a new place.

He has the most passing yards in this first three seasons in NFL history and he didn't start every game his rookie year and he played half of last year with rib injuries. Every time I watch him play, I come away shaking my head in amazement.

I have no issue with him, what I have issue with is all the propping up for him. People will say Daks stats don't matter, and in the same breath bring up another's stats. Let the man get some skins on the wall at least. Dak is a regular in the playoffs since his rookie season, but others will say it's the team around him, well I guess we always had a all pro team and great coach and great GM, but the only thing holding us back is the QB. Its a wonder we never get the #1 draft pick. Maybe we just have a real good QB

what is football? and what is it that they don't know? how is it any different than the old days you are referencing and how is it worse or better?

this is an utterly stupid statement. you sound like an 89 year old man who is gripe against everything in the world and why things aren't like when he was a little boy.

btw, in case you missed it, which you did. NFL is the most popular sport today than any other sport. by a wide margin....
Just tell 'em to learn chess in prison...

I've officially decided. THIS will be the Dak thread I believe and let form my opinion. The other 10,000 were all just missing that little something special...

9th best QB's should win a playoff game or two, but not with out team help.

Sees the field well, is humble, very cerebral, and is a top notch leader.

Man, if you can't see the talent in Herbert, you either just don't want to or really don't get NFL football.

How did you miss that he's the first player ever to throw for 4,000 yds in his first 3 seasons? He's changing the record books. This cat is a freakshow on O.
WHO???? Herbert !!! OK

Herbert ain't dine sheet yet. Now he may , but as of now NOTHING other than choking away a huge lead in the playoffs
