I agree with most of that, but overall we are seeing more and more viable (and some really good) qb options hit the open market at least more than what I can ever remember. I know a lot of people will disagree with me on this, but I think the transition from college to the NFL has become easier than it was in the past, both from a rules aspect and schemes from both levels have started to overlap in ways. This has generated more options....not necessarily great ones, (Brady/Cousins/Carr....maybe Jimmy G are the only ones I can think of that would be in the conversation with Dak) but the options for teams to grab that 1-3 year gap player until they land a shiny new toy in the draft is there.

It's certainly not a foolproof plan of action yet (see Indy) but I do see some legitimacy to the crowd that says to churn the QB position until you land that elite level QB to sign long term.
Hop on in the passenger seat. Been saying this. You can find plenty of athletes each year in the draft to play QB1 and run college style RPO. Stack the skill spots and trenches and run a read based single option offense. Every QB in college can run that system. Team would be just as successful and don't have to commit tons of $$ to the QB position. Unless of course you find that guy like a Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert or Allen. Yeah I said Herbert and y'all gonna be mad when he lights up the league under Moore. I bet Kellen can't sleep at night drawing up plays for a legit QB.

If you have watched him play, I don't know what else to tell you. In less than 3 seasons he has thrown for more than 14,000 yards and his first two seasons he had ratings of 98.3 & 97.7. Last year he played half the year with rib injuries and he's only had one consistent weapon, Eckler.

Who's holding him to a different standard? He literally just completed his third season. I think everyone is viewing him as ascending, still learning & growing but hella talented.
So stats are good for other Qbs, got it:thumbup:

Brock Purdy was better LAST SEASON than most of the qb's on that list, he got his team to the nfc champ game.
yet he isnt even on the list , which kinda makes this list BS
Jalen hurts should be # 2.
This list reads like a popularity contest, and a Potential success list than what they have actually done.

I have Goff and Tua better than Dak with Murray possibly having a slight edge. Dak and Cousins are tied

There's a significant transition from the top 5 and the next 5.

The next 5 could easily be out of the top 10 next year (though I suspect Lawrence will replace Rodgers soon enough).

Lamar is overrated. Finished the season behind Zach Wilson last year in YPG. I know he's a special runner and has had some success with his arm, but I like my QBs to be better passers.

You could also argue that Dak/Trevor are just as close to Rodgers/Burrow/Allen as they are to Tua/Goff.
Not sure Trevor is a top 10 QB. What is he in his second season? I think top 10 is a little bit of a reach.

The edge goes to the haters. Most of Daks fans will rank him close to where league executives have. Haters will make him out to be a back up scrub.
Dak fan boobs are in a class by themselves. Most fans understand Dak is not and probably never will be elite. The real haters like pappydog are outnumbered by the fanboobs

Yet his team has underachieved for the last two years despite having good personnel.
49ers beat us convincingly both years. They knew our plays and dominated the line of scrimmage.

They were the better team. Hopefully this year our improvements will get us over the hump.

Why oh why do guys repeatedly throw Manning, Brees and Rodgers into a discussion about Statscott? He can't get close enough to those guys to valet their cars.

And that may be true... but you still haven't answered my questions.

Bro, it's an NFL online forum discussing topics via thoughts and opinions. Guess what, even in 2023, it's okay to DISAGREE.
Yes it is okay to disagree. But atleast have some proof/evidence to back up your argument to justify your argument to support your opinion so that you don't look dumb and uniformed.

Having on a uniform is not a negative thing.

No one cares. Win something, unless you get off on useless rankings and a bunch of laugh emojis.

Sometimes this fan base makes me wish I was never a fan of this team. Clown show, some of you.
