Running back means absolutely nothing. How did Peterson make his QB look when he rushed for 2,000? Your point is stupid. Great QBs don't rely on RBs. lol
in this case, tannehill did......He threw for less than a 100 two games in a row last year and won two playoff games....it was clearly Henry that won the game.

So you are using this season as your "how bad is the team without Dak" argument? The season the team had their worst defense in many years and the main reason so many point to why Dak had a 2-3 record when he was injured?

So outside of his rookie season Dak has a .547 win percentage and Dak owned a 2-3 record in 2020 whereas his 'back-ups/replacements' had a combined record of 4-7. So break it down:

2020 Record by Dallas QB

Dak Prescott 2-3 .400 Win %
Andy Dalton 4-5 .444 Win %
Ben DiNucci 0-1 .000 Win %
Garrett Gilbert 0-1 .000 Win %

So based on 2020 Andy Dalton has a better win % than Dak so should Dalton be paid as much as Dak or more? I mean considering that Dalton won more than Dak with the same equally bad defense.
so, lets examine the facts....if you look through a pigeon hole, you bound to only see what you can see out of the pigeon hole....3 of the teams Dak played made the playoffs and won a playoff game.

Dalton won three games against back up QBs,bunch of bottom feeding 4 win teams. he only beat one starting QB, Cousins, for a team that was 27th in defense...29th in defensive pts, he got spanked by WFT, AZ and Ravens and choked against Giants...

Can we stop with the Dak non sense. He couldnt even beat a crippled Eagles team end of 2019. All the QBs listed above him would carved those bums up all night long.
as if Rodgers has never choked in a game, nor has Brady or anybody else...they are super perfect and oh so dreamy

We can break it allllll the way down, cool cool.

Dak lost to the 10-6 playoff bound Rams.
Dak beat a bleh 4 win Falcons team while scoring 40.
Dak lost to the12 win Seahawks scoring 31.
Dak lost to the 11 win Browns while scoring 38.
Dak led them to game winning drive over 6 win NYG.
You really wanna look at who did what now?

Any Dalton beat the Eagles, Vikings, 49ers and Bengals: Average wins? 5.25 per team.
He lost to Cards, WAS, Raven, NYG.

non-playoff teams that beat Dak? ZERO.
non-playoff teams to beat Andy? TWO.
So no, you can't pay Dlaton the same or more.

Did you get CTE in the Army?

I like Dak but he needs a lot of things around him to be successful. olline, a running back thats really good and prime receivers. thats why you cant break the bank for him because HOW will you pay for all the things he needs? if he doesnt have that then we're talking about 7-10 wins every year with minimal playoff success.
so other QBs don't need anything? Brady has some tools on that team to work with...

this notion of QBs, just lifting any average player to greatness is so much biullshiet and such a myth, I don't know where to begin.....the fact is good QBs, produce when they are given good resources....all of them suffer when they don't have the resources...even the great super duper rodgers struggled a couple of years and b!tched all the time...

Look at Dak's winning percentage after his 13-3 rookie season and then talk to me how he can win games....oh hell, I will save you the time:

Dak's Career Record 2016-2020 42 Wins 27 Losses .609 Win %

Looks good, right? Okay, now let's look at how Dak has been since his rookie season anomaly:

Dak's Record 2017-2020 29 Wins 24 Losses .547 Win %

So outside of his rookie season, Dak has a barely above average winning record. Is that what you want to commit $35M+/season to given his personal stats have gone up but the wins have gone down.
that is still a winning record....handicapped by garrett, linehan and moore.....not sure what your point is or are you trying to make a case for us to keep Dak? because without him the record would be 12-40

Dak didn't lead anybody to a win over the Giants. Yeah, he got credit for the win and maybe he gets the win if he doesn't get put out, maybe. But then again, maybe not.

Bottom line, Dalton won more games then Dak did this season. Like it or not, those are the facts.

If dallas sign Dak with that king of money (40 per year) foget to have a good defense,
how would that stop you from having a good defense? tell us more? this bullshiet about not being able to build a good defense. are you suggesting to build a defense through FA? who did it? how did it turn out? which players are available? how much will you pay them?

you are just regurgitating what a few others say here, without understanding really, what it is that you are saying...

he had the lead when he got injured. he drove the team down to the 19, about to score again since giants weren't able to stop him....idiot Dalton proceeded to lose the lead and only a super acrobatic catch by gallup saved his bum....we should have been scouring the waiver wire for somebody after that Dalton performance.

In those games he made key throws, one was a beautiful TD pass. Did you even watch the games?

Big whoop. He also played 3x as many games. I would hope he would win more games.
