Teams have won-loss records, not QBs
True, and Tannehill is a good example of that, big time loser at miami, big winner at Tenn. Same QB and skills , just used differently.
The other thing is this stat about beating winning teams is flawed.
If Dallas plays wash early in the season, and skins are 2-1 and dallas wins dak and dallas get credit for beating a team with a winning record, right?
And then if skins dont win another game and wind up 2-14 what did that win really mean?
I think it only means something the last few weeks of the season, and even then if a team has the div wrapped up they might not play all their players,
but anyone beating them would get credit for beating a team with a winning record.
Also you might wind up playing a team with winning record but their qb is out that week, maybe some other key players, so you beat them,
and get credit for the win.
And then sometimes the toughest games of the year may be with a team with a losing record, but they are playing good and all revved up
to beat that team that week. and if you beat them , no credit for the win because they did not have a winning record.
I think this can apply to playoff games because most of the teams in playoffs are the better teams for that season, but a few weak teams
always get in too, and you might not get to play the weak team, but instead have to play a strong team the 1st game.
The top seeds get the weakest teams usually, so winning or losing in playoffs can be used like people are using this winning record stuff.
And then like the qoute above , teams lose and win games, not qb's , at least most of the time, they are a big part of it, but unless
they throw 3 ints and fumble the ball etc, it is a team loss usually.
A few years back a qb for houston had 5 ints in a playoff game, and you could say he lost the game, I saw it and he was the main reason they lost,
but there were some other bad play by other players too.
