Both of those Franchises made huge changes to the front office before they drafted those QB's..right? Mahomes didnt bring in the new GM and Andy Ried....Daniels didnt bring in a whole new ownership and new GM, New coaching staff...right?What happens if Mahomes goes to the Jets, Browns...Cowboys and thats the only change?

I still maintain it's the QB that turned the franchise around. Without the QB those teams aren't winning anything. Put Mahomes on the Jets and yeah they very well would be in the SB. Same with Cowboys.

Without the FO changes they didnt win even with drafting high QB's, Washington wont win if that defense doesnt improve no matter what Daniels does....Mahomes is great but without a team he cant win either...

I think people here devalue the QB contributions to defend Dak.

I grant them...we do not always have a really great team.

But trying to pass off that it HAS to be everyone else but the QB that does it?

I was here in Tampa for Brad Johnson. That was a GREAT defense. But if you think Brad didn't help the team, and the defense...yer nuts. He had 6 interceptions the year he won the SB.

It's weird, all those who worship a QB, or at least tend to focus all their positive feelings of the team onto the QB, don't see the QB position as making that much of a difference on whether a team succeeds or not.

This helps make a good defense.

With a defense as good as Tampa Bay's was that year, the offense did not have to score all that much to win. They ran the ball a lot and did not ask Johnson to make a lot of high risk throws. They scored on a few drives and let the defense do the rest.

This is not devaluing QB, it's showing that it takes a team to win. Brad Johnson had a very good season leading the Bucs to the SB win because he did not have to carry the team on his back all by himself. Yes, he contributed. No, he was not the reason they won it all.

This is what I have been trying to tell Dak haters around here. He does not need to be a Hall of Fame level QB to win a Super Bowl. He needs to be on a Super Bowl caliber team. Because throughout NFL history many QB's of Dak's talent level have won titles and lesser QB's than Dak have reached Super Bowls and lost (hello Stan Humphries, Chris Chandler, Kerry Collins, Jake Delhomme, Donovan McNabb, Matt Hasselbeck, and Rex Grossman to name a few).
