Dak is not the guy

If this is all true...why do we care SO much about Dak? If you dare say something bad...some people go ape ship about it.

Aside form a big contract...what difference does Dak make?

"it's not fair to criticize him". Of course it's fair, along with almost every other aspect except punter and kicker.
Fair or not fair really doesn't matter either, its a forgone conclusion with how the Franchise is ran, you may say "Get me a better QB" but the question is what kind of QB wins in a franchise run like this. Like i said Jets and Browns have drafted many 1st round QB's, we are there now 30 years of not good enough with many players and coaches... the GM matters in wether a player is a winner or not, does that mean Dak could be the guy, who knows and by his own fault he may never know because he took the money so thats on him....But what we do know is in this Franchise as its run now and for the last 30 years no player is a winner..

You never answered my question.

When you get paid like the number one guy and by a large margin, you better play like the number one guy! An 86 qb rating last year is about 7 points below average.

Dak won like 3 games last year and even more losses..86 qb rating (To be fair, I did enjoy the Pittsburgh win).

Cooper Rush went basically 5 (I am giving him the Cincinnati win because of that Penn State cornerback, who let the ball hit him on the kick off and the turnover) and 6 last year…83 qb rating

Anyway, not much difference. Basically the same performance… a mid 80’s qb rating number is the baseline for being a career back up.

For 60 million a year, shouldn’t that gap be significantly and I mean SIGNIFICANTLY wider? Thinking 101 qb rating along with 12 wins a year vs an 86.

Dak is taking up 20% of the cap while dude taking up .4% is playing about the same.

If you get paid like the man, you better be the man!!!

What point have you thought Dak could win 3-4 games in a row in the playoffs? He can barely win one.

It is not luck. You need dominant qb play in this league and the playoffs. He is NOT the guy. The Dak experiment needs to end. We need a new QB ASAP.

Go Cowboys!
All you have to look at is who’s writing the checks, he’s the reason why players on this team may be grossly overpaid! As Prescott, you just aren’t going to get too many players bad mouthing him because in the NFL, “What goes around comes around “, I look for Prescott to have his worse season ever!

The constant lament about Dak's salary is based on the fact if that position was cheaper, the team could bring in other positions with better players.

The GM is still Jethro and his assistant is Little Anus.

You're dreaming they can assemble a championship team, even if they were unfettered by the cap, is still a dream.

The only hope I have is that Little Anus hires Troy Aikman as the GM when Jethro is no longer in charge. And Little Anus' last press conference is announcing his permanent vacation.

It couldn't be an WORSE than you meaning WORST.

Definitely not! The guy is Will Grier!

Oops... okay, now the guy is Trey Lance!

Oops... okay, now it's Joe Milton!

Oops... okay, now it's Will Grier again!

Hmm, maybe it's not so easy to replace a Pro Bowl level QB?

30 years of losing and not drafting one top QB prospect coming out of college. Look at what happened with the Chiefs. They drafted mahomes when they had a guy named Alex Smith that was just like Dak.
Look how quickly Jaden Daniels turn that franchise around in DC.
You can say what you want about the organization but those three seasons where they went 12 and 5 and lost to San Francisco if they got halfway decent QB play in the playoffs they would have beat San Francisco.
Nothing will turn a franchise around quicker than a top-notch QB.

Where's it gotten us?

Where's it gotten us?
Nowhere. But not because we have a good QB.

The good QB is a prerequisite for success. You still need a great team around that good QB to win big.

Jerry and Stephen are tools who are wasting Dak's prime years just like they wasted Romo's prime years.

You want to replace Dak? Get a QB in the building who can beat him out. (Notice how that's still Jerry and Stephen's fault?)

Right...but people are STILL...missing my point. Dak doesn't help this bad team (which does NOT absolve him from his own criticism! )...why worry so much about defending him...or wanna even keep him? We've seen a far inferior (and less costly) qb get nearly the same results (especially final results).

Having him here and paying so much for him just doesn't matter. Yet we squabble incessantly over it.

They both spent premium picks. We don't do that.

Hey that Pinto finished 2nd in a race one time though!
My cousin would take old Pinto's or a similar car. Modify them and the frame and suspension a little to handle the extra weight. Put in a 350, or a 305, 307, and take them to the drag races. No one suspects dit.
Just a local race and drag strip for amateurs. But not just for off the street wannabe racers though.

Both of those Franchises made huge changes to the front office before they drafted those QB's..right? Mahomes didnt bring in the new GM and Andy Ried....Daniels didnt bring in a whole new ownership and new GM, New coaching staff...right?What happens if Mahomes goes to the Jets, Browns...Cowboys and thats the only change?
