Daks a good quarterback, not great. Where he is average at best, is under pressure/playoff games……we’ve all seen the deer in the headlights look. Once that shows itself, game over (or about to be)…

You will see it against any team with a pulse or something goes awry at the beginning of the game. The moment is too big for him.

He's played enough seasons to form an opinion on whether he is the guy or not. Yes we know about Jerry as the GM, and deficiencies of the team, but that doesn't change that people have a right to form their own opinions on whether this team can win in the playoffs with who the current player is, given age, decline in talent that come thereof, the decline of talent of the supporting cast, and the effects of injuries on his body. Some of us been pointing out since at least 2018 that Dak like any other quarterback won't always have the most talented team around him. A quarterback plays with what he is given. I also always says my main thing is I hate all the excuses people make, and the throwing under the bus of other Cowboys to prop ones idol up.

Well he is trying to define cult somehow into what would be best described as an anti-cult, where instead of people worshiping some false idol, usually the cult leader, he is saying its people who anti-worship someone, namely Dak, nevermind the cult members including people who probably overestimated Dak more than he has in the past, but just came to realize that Dak is 2-5 in the playoffs, and the ultimate goal for a team is to improve. First a bad team that hasn't gotten to the playoffs in a long time, gets to the playoffs. Then you might take a couple of one and done seasons, but the team eventually does better, and eventually an NFCCG at least. Here since Aikman, the best year the cowboys still had is 2014. Then the argument goes, well it isn't on Dak, it is on Jerry and the defense and the offensive line, receivers, running backs, etc. And then they bring up well Elway didn't find success until later on and they give other examples. The only problem is, Dak himself was part of the reason for some of our playoff losses instead of well the defense sucking, etc. Those other great quarterbacks who didn't find success right away, usually aren't responsible, in part, for those teams doing bad in the playoffs, but Dak has been at times. That right there makes it valid for people to form an opinion that he is not the guy. People don't have a right, apparently, to want to move on, when they see that the cowboys aren't improving year after year. It's Jerry fault, so we all should support dak...

Of course the GM matters. The team has to win despite the GM and Culture that we have. A player can be on a bad team, and lose, but if they are one of the greats, people really won't think those teams lose because of him. People still would be able to see it wasn't the quarterback's fault. Another team could've build a team around Dak and won something. He was a good quarterback, with some flaws, that you could've won with. But we got to evaluate him on this team, and he has done mistakes that helped lose playoff games as well. Given that and that he is coming off a bad injury that will only expose on of his weaknesses that was showing in 2024 and even in 2023 at times, I really don't think he is the guy at this given time. Do we have the guy on the roster, no. Does it mean I should just be happy that the cowboys gave someone who is not the guy a record contract and then he gets injured and exposed, and the foreseeable future is bleak? Some people on here are all like, ah yeah, Dak probably won't do anything for the next three years, but it isn't his fault, its Jerry, so just cheer him on.

Ok may be hate is a little strong.

But you cult members constantly and non stop criticize, find fault, ridicule, etc. Non stop. New threads are created to regurgitate the same.things over and over and over and over and over.
