More strawmen from you guys.

He did not in any way shape or form discredit, dismiss or say anything even remotely negative about Dak. He didn't prop up Romo either.

He just pointed out how absurd that stupid idea that a QB wins or loses a game by himself is. Some of you Romo haters love to use it, maybe now you'll know better.

U Dak haters sure are insecure.

Still going at the negativity huh Mr negativity?

I see why u name urself child's play.

No.

If Dak would have thrown a pick 6 or fumbled at the end of the game when we were trying to tie or take the lead, then people would have compared him to Romo.
That's not to slam Romo because he's been great here. But believe me, if Dak would have choked at the end, the Dak is Romo in disguise memes would have broke the internet.
Trolls had them ready to go the minute it would have happened.

Did you not read the whole thing?
Yes, I did. And I responded to what it seemed to me that you were saying. It's all good, though. Truly hope your day is a good one!

No need to try and make this personal. You obviously have a long standing issue with me and that's your problem. I give honest opinions and if it rubs someone like you the wrong way then you shouldn't be contributing your thoughts on a public forum. You want Dak to be Romo and I doubt most Cowboy fans do based on Romo's elimination/playoff record. You want all the turnovers and the lack of poise Romo has shown in do or die games like yesterday instilled in Dak?

Romo could have never handled the situation yesterday being down 18 points like Dak did. Romo would have likely imploded forcing balls down the field in a desperate attempt to bring us back. He's lost his poise in those situations causing his game to come apart. Dak stayed calm, cool and collected never panicking. He's going to be a top 5 QB in this league in the near future. He's got all the intangibles to be a great QB and yesterdays game will benefit him down the road.
Can you tell me a game for Romo where he got down 18 points and the defense held the QB to 7 points for 29 minutes in the second half? As good as the offense played in the second half, it was matched by the defense until that final play. And as putrid as the defense was in the first half, it's not like the offense and Dak specifically was any better than mediocre against maybe the worst pass defense in the NFL.

It will eventually happen to Dak if the Cowboys continue to falter in the playoffs. Peyton Manning got ripped every year until he finally won his Super Bowl.
It's only one season, but Dak didn't choke at the end on the big stage. For Romo, choking on the Big Stage was his calling card for Cowboys haters. I know, it isn't fair to Romo but that's the way his "legend" molded itself over the years....

Already seeing around the Internet, Dak is 0-1 in "elimination games"

Ha, that stat was created for Romo and now Dak is inheriting it. Just like Romo, it doesn't matter what numbers Dak puts up or that he is the first rookie QB to throw 3 TD passes in a playoff game, or that he balls out but the defense cant stop a nose bleed, all that matter is 0-1 in elimination games now.

Welcome to Romo's world Dak, as long as you wear the star you are going to get the same treatment and if you lose your next playoff game and go 0-2 in elimination games, we are going to start hearing the same thing we hard them say about Romo......."Dak is a great regular season QB, but he chokes in elimination games".

You guys know its coming.

True people will say what they choose. What I saw was a young man who kept his composer and who lead his team. Did he play perfect no but he played a heck of a game and with his work ethic and his desire to improve as a player I expect a lot of great things from him. Critics will be critics nothing he can do about it except to go about his business in leading this team.

Many people I would describe as haters were quite complimentary of Dak and agreed our future is bright.

Dak and Zeke give me hope.

Incorrect. Scipio posted something he was aware of which you stated you were not aware of. He knew. You didn't. It's clear cut.

He knew because maybe that's his issue. He looked that up as merely a slam at me because he was offended by my comment...fact! That's not something people normally look up unless there's something going on with them or someone close to them or they're looking to slam someone on a message board. Every time you see an opportunity to take someones side you pounce.

Faulty logic. If the premise is that "winning anything" equates as "winning an NFL championship", Romo-led teams have accomplished exactly the same as the Prescott-led team. Now if you wish to speculate what Prescott-led teams shall accomplish in the future, be my guess. No one knows until a future prediction becomes true.I think you owe Scipio an apology for posting that link. Just a suggestion. Nothing more.Good point. Don't know off-hand how often Romo has helped Dallas overcome an 18-point deficit against a Hall of Fame quarterback. Off the top of my head (because it's mentioned SO often), I do know of a particular game, incorrectly used against him time and again, where Romo's performance matched that of a certain future Colts/Broncos Hall of Famer. It was a performance where the defense didn't do enough to secure the win, like yesterday's defense didn't perform well enough to help Prescott's efforts. Who could it be? Eli? No. That's not right. His forehead is much bigger. His name escapes me..

Romo led teams have been blown out in do or die games that got out of hand like yesterdays game. As for the Cowboys/Broncos game in 2013, the Cowboys never got down by more than 15 points in that game and that game didn't have our season and a trip to a title game on the line. I knew how this season would eventually end up due to the defense. If it wasn't for Dak's poise, yesterdays game would have been a debacle instead of a nail-biter. You're a Romo FAN who was still wanting to start him over Dak despite how well Dak and the team were playing unless I'm wrong about you voting for Romo to start in those polls that were posted.

I can't recall any game where Romo and the Cowboys got down by 18 points to a future HOF QB and came back to tie the game twice and Dak was able to accomplish that in a playoff game against a red hot Aaron Rodgers. Dak passed for 302 yards and 3 TD's with a 103.2 passer rating and you're calling that mediocre? He also had a rushing TD, while Zeke put up 125 yards. We put up over 400 yards on the Packers and 31 points which should have been enough to win if it wasn't for our damn defense.

You should REALLY check out that link. Seriously.

There's that pesky do or die fallacy again.

Be thankful my name isn't Jason Garrett or Jerry Jones because you and a hell of a LOT of other people would be pissssssssssed off. But I'm not either gentleman. My vote is relevant only for the purposes of the polls (which Reality specified quite clearly from the original poll forward but is still being misinterpreted to this day). It has zero bearing in what actually happens with the team and it's the team and it's players that I 100% support in REAL life.

Ironically, you should have used this type of tactic concerning my thoughts about Terrell Owens back in the day. I would have zero defense against being labeled as a Owens anti-fan. :p

Good job ignoring the defense shutting down the Packers in the second half until that last play to give Dallas a chance to come back. I called Dak's first half mediocre, which it was. GB has a worse defense than Dallas somehow, and having 13 points midway through the 3rd can't be described as anything above mediocre.

Obviously the defense performed poorly overall, but looking at the big picture, you knew this game was going to be a shootout, and 31 points just wasn't going to get it done.

We held them in check in the second half until the final 4 minutes and that's when our defense began to choke like it always does when our seasons are on the line. We gave up a 36 yard pass with 12 freaking seconds on the clock with the Packers 2 top receivers off the field enabling them to beat us with a FG. As for our offense in the first half we had a 15 yard penalty kill one drive. We moved the ball but kept shooting ourselves in the foot while our defense gave up 3 TD's on the Packers first 3 possessions. Dak did one hell of a job hanging in, helping to bring us back giving us a chance.

All I know is you voted for Romo getting his job back in every poll that I noticed. Despite how well the team and Dak were playing you voted to have Romo take over. You and some others wanted to go back to where we've already been with Romo. What's your position now on Romo, do you still want him back as the Cowboys starting QB next season?

How did Dak choke? Another stupid thread!
