I want to see the guy going sustain drives not just throw up 40-yard bombs and let world class speed run under it. That's what I want to see
Why do you hold it against Mahomes for being the best QB in the league right now. He has the talent to his the long passes time after time and he does superhuman things when he passes out of the pocket. Jealousy is such an ugly thing.

No not saying he is the best period, just the best this season, which is 2 games.
Dak has played better than any other qb so far .
I am not saying how he will do the rest of the season.
I just find it interesting that he could do so well these first 2 games, if he was not a very good qb like so many here have stated.

The other thing is it is hard to compare qb's, as they are all in different situations, different coaches, teams, schemes , etc.
Dak improved with the addition of 1 player last season, now with kellen, he has improved even more.

Mahomes is in a good situation, so is Brady, and that is partly why they do so well.

I’m with it. I’m wholly impressed with Dak so far

Don't try to guess what I think. And why would I be jealous in him I'm not a quarterback he has nothing to do with my life. Maybe that's how you feel about players . and people not me so . keep your thoughts on how I think out of the subject .

In so many different ways yes he actually is better than Mahomes.

Dak is doing great right now. He looks like he is completely done a 180 in mechanics etc... I mean it looks like he has really worked hard, to correct issues.

But, right now, at this time... no he is not better than Mahomes. You can't use stats to make that point. You have to actually watch KC games.
I watch KC, and the Browns when they don't conflict with Dallas games. Just because I want to see Mahomes, and Baker, what they are capable of.
Baker, seems to be off a bit. Mahomes, he is everything, everyone says he is. Not every team can have a Mahomes... Just like every team
can't have a Brady. But, Dak is nowhere near what Mahomes is, let alone Brady right now. Anything is possible, but not right now.

Mahomes is incredibly gifted at thinking on his feet, when a play falls apart. He can improvise, like a vet that has been playing for 10 years.

care to enlighten us??
You carry a team when the players around you are average to below and you elevate their play, that isn't the case with Dak he needs above average pro bowl elite players around him to elevate his game, the players around Dak carry him right now, you should understand that basic, if Dak can carry a team is to be determined, that hasn't been to case to date hopefully that will happen. Consider yourself enlightened.

The combined record of the two dreadful teams Dallas played is 0-4 and play another 0-2 team on Sunday, can we just tap the brakes
I don't think he is going overboard, just putting up some numbers. I get we have not played any real contenders and Miami is no exception. Looks like Dak's numbers are only going to get better after week 3. Either that or he throws 4 interceptions and we lose. Let's hope not.

Top 3 for sure. You’re splitting hairs 2 weeks in, so you’ll get a lot of pushback on saying Dak is the best QB in the league.

As always, trying to say one player is "the best" is an exercise in futility. They don't have the same supporting cast, didn't play the same teams. Mahomes has Andy Reid for a coach, a long term, proven offensive/quarterback developer. Dak had Wade Wilson and Linehan, now has a rookie OC in Moore, so for him to play as he has could indicate he's more talented than Mahomes, to do as well as he is doing without a Reid on the sidelines.

And you have to factor in Mahomes is in a bit more pass-oriented offense, Dallas still is more run-oriented, just look at the number of passes attempted - Mahomes 77, Dak 62. Rushing attempts - Dallas 64 KC 48.

Finally, it's only 2 games. Teams are relatively healthy this early, but now with Gallup out, we should have a bit more indication of whether or not Dak's the "real deal". Of course Hill didn't practice this week, he may be out also, so that should give an indication on Mahomes as well.

Just way too early to really judge who's the best...

He's graded 1st overall on PFF

Stats aren't the only thing you look at, though they are a great help. But I would agree, based on Dak's game performance, he's playing at an elite level, though there will be those here who insist you can't be elite unless you "elevate" a team to a higher level than they should be at based on personnel.

Can't we just all be happy with the way Dak's playing? Who cares who's the "best" quarterback, as long as we're winning?

Yeh he's ballin right now. Feels like every read he makes is the right read. Great ball placement on a majority of his throws. I mean did anyone watch mariota last night OMG.

Dak's impressive growth + Kellen Moore + patsy schedule = very gaudy numbers to begin the season

I'll take it!

Nevertheless
Just a reminder for perspective

Thru 2 games
  • Ryan Fitzpatrick 2018 : 819 yard, 8 TDs, 1 int...151.50 QB rating
  • Dak Prescott 2019: 674 yards, 8 TDs, 1 int....144.83 QB rating

The good news is that vs Miami this week, Dak and the Cowboys should their roll!
Fitz in 2018? Not so much. lol

Fitz isn't playing, Rosen is. Relatively unknown quarterback, plus Woods out, means even more of a trap game.

Good news is Quinn is available, maybe Hill can show something.

This game still worries me...
